  • @jfjhew83 That's good we enjoyed doing it.

  • Folks, stick to your day jobs. Seriously.

  • yeahhh ...whatever ......more practice.....jeeeeeeees

  • lol

  • Yea! Raymond! This is a great one - and sadly, it's still going on right here, in my lil' old hometown - and all over the world! Thanks!

  • I kind of got used to it living in Hong Kong!

  • Nice. I saw you guys did this song in Canny Man too.

  • We did? I don't remember it!

    Thanks for watching.

  • No big yellow taxi but bull dozer.

  • That's right, Kwan. Dylan should really have changed the title!

  • Oops! Sorry. I mean Sampson!!

  • Totally enjoyd this Joni Mitchell cover : )

    Rocket

  • Thanks for dropping by, Rocket. This is more a cover of Dylan's cover!

  • Long time Joni fan from New York City. I was in high school when Ladies of the Canyon was released and of course listened to it endlessly. Who knew the greatness still to come; Blue, For the Roses, Court and Spark, Hissing and Hejira. Never heard Big Yellow Taxi sung like this. A nice surprise, very unexpected. Also, I love the way this kid gets self conscious at :58., it's very endearing. I hope Ms. Mitchell gets to see this.

  • Thanks for your comments. It was fun doing this song.

  • aw Lachlan is sweet.

  • That's really nice -- I haven't heard Bob's version in a long time. I had "Dylan" on tape as a kid.

Still would like to hear a cover of "Songs to Aging Children Come" though. :D

  • I'll put it on my (long) list of songs to do.

  • Hm!!! The young-un on the right (as we see it, but your left). Is he your son? Seems a bit pissed off. Or embarrassed.

Looks like my son, behaves like my son. Not much we can do about it. Blinking kids.

  • That's just his style. He's my nephew and a good kid and quite happy to do a few songs with us.

  • nice job*****

  • Thanks, Mike.

  • excellent rendition Raymond....good to see the family enjoying themselves

  • Thanks, Dan. Always fun to sing with family.

  • Hi, Raymond, another new guitar??

  • Hi Kwan. This is at my sister's place in Tasmania. It was cabin baggage only on our Tiger flight, so I didn't take my own guitar with me.

  • your nephew looks a bit embarrassed. :)

  • He wasn't. He was actually pretty cool about singing with us.

  • Well done!!! 5*****s and thank you for sharing.

    Dianne

  • Thank you for the comment and stars, Dianne.

  • Hello

    Raymond

    &

    Family Members..

I cherish my "Ladies of the canyon" LP,for the final three songs are what I consider among Joni's finest compositions:

    "The Circle Game"

"Woodstock" as well as this gem,"Big Yellow Taxi"...also issued as a Reprise single. We usually sing it at the annual Clearwater Festival with Grandpa Pete Seeger.

This highly spirited trio treatment was very refreshing and nourishing to the soul!

    Pax,

    Max

  • Thanks, Max. I also like "Both Sides Now," which I've covered on YouTube before. You can find it here if you'd like to have a look: /watch?v=xJVWDkK8DtY

It was great to have the opportunity to sing with my sister and nephew.
