From the moment this opening played out for me on the first time I watched this all those years ago on Adultswim, I knew this was going to be something special. Rewatching it now and just finishing up the last episode its amazing how much im still in love with it, the music, the story, all of it bind so well to create something only matched by cowboy bebop and samurai champloo. This deserves to be in my top 3 and it always will be. See you all in paradise.
@Aizensamaaaa Yeah, Johnny Yong Bosch. He's Lelouch Lamperouge, Kiba (obviously), Ichigo Kurosaki, Itsuki Koizumi from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Rossieu from Gurren Lagann, among an impressive list of characters. I was totally impressed, and my mind was blown. I had NO IDEA those were voiced by the same guy
I think I get the point of wolfs rain. The maker of wolfs rain wanted to give us a message. Many people are making rules and are relying on some promised land out of "hope" that mostly turns into despair and misery. Kiba wasn't believing at all, he just needed something to walk forward to, the rest was al instinct. Also was Kiba searching for a "future". And he got it. the world re-opened again and went into the same cycle.
The heart of a wolf is for living for others, not for him/herself.
actually this is not the ending to the show. He doesn't have a lunar flower with him. It's actually his last failed attempt at finding paradise. He keeps getting reborn into the world starting over on his quest to find paradise. Each time he gets a little closer.
Tenchi Universe is like that. At the beginning, Tenchi starts thinking of everything that happened, and ends his thoughts with, well, they all left. At the end, Ryoko tackles him, and says one of the most amazing lines ever: "It may take some time, but I promise you, if you wait, the carnival always comes back around."[sic[
I loved the beginning and end quotes^^ I just remember the last words from the subtitled version "There's no such thing as paradise. There's nothing at the end of this world"
lol the train after this part always scares the hell out of me, even after watching the anime like... 6 times xD

That is sad...It makes you feel like the whole series didn't even happen, since it was almost like a cycle...It's depressing.
