Thanks for the comment! She hasnt been out since this video was made, so no new videos as yet. We just fitted a new set of sirens, a new diesel lift pump, removed all the striping, and the whole body is rubbed down ready for painting. Ah yes, the Perkins V8's are one of a kind!!
Howya Peter, thats good to hear! Hows things up in good aul Kells? I got her in November 2008, yeah still have the 1979 one as well, got rid of 206-GZL (the 1980 ex-DFB one) as she had a suspected cracked block and a major fault with the injection pump, way too far gone to be worth fixing, so got rid of that and bought this one instead! Give me a call sometime, have some idea's as to what might be wrong with your rear brakes. if you dont have me number send me a message on YouTube! Cheers, Mark
No problem Ben, she's currently off-the-road at the minute so could be a while, stil ltrying to source the cause of a fuel problem (not lifting from tank) and had the green KC bus out at the weekend, currently uploading a new driving video of her going along this weekend. Check out my channel - MTB
Really??? Where did you get this piece of information from? Obviously you know something I clearly dont...
That really is amazing news to me, considering I am the owner of this Dennis RS, and guess what, it's still a fire engine - it is NOT a limo. It never was a limo, and never WILL be used as a limo whilst I own it.
Get your facts right before you come out with such statements like that in future. Abseloute bullshit like what you came out with, cause me ALOT of hassle.
Does this '86 also have the Allison MT-643 transmission backing the V8.640 engine? However, you also have (or had) a 1983 Ford D series fire engine with a Perkins V8.540, but with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Yes it is an MT643 with a top-transfer PTO for the fire pump. The 1983 Ford D series you mention had as far as I know a Turner T500 manual box, that appliance is owned by Liam Bardon

Mark, could you please cut a long inside-the-cab video of this rig? Thank you.
