@jeremiahjw Late response but this was a tripod that had two feet on the floor and one in between my legs. I was riding at the time and let the weight of my hand stabalize it. It was on a single charge of the battery, nothing special. Just turn off the screen, focus, and any stabalizer and you can shoot like 6 hours on a charge.
@perrytheplatypus41 V0.5. If you mean for real, it was Florida Turnpike for the vast majority. Then I think it was bronson memoral to orange blossom. i wasn't really paying attention though, I wasn't driving.
@aaalotaibi Could you rephrase that please? if you mean this is wear for the camera yes. My camera probably has like 70,000 actuations on it. About 3/4th of it's rated life. It is wear, but the 7D is rated for 300,000 I think. Which is alot.
this makes me want to get in my car and drive. not looking at what i am leaving behind, not knowing where i am going. just driving till the tank runs out, enjoying every second of it.
@itburnswhenip The biggest issue was that I knew the receipt was there, but I wasn't aware it was reflecting into the camera. The camera was at a different angle than me.
@commonlemme Good way to use photography and turn it into a form of video production. Timelapses are probably some of the best tests of patience. It only ever shows it's true form when it's finally rendered and processed about 10-11 hours later.
I can definitely agree with your feelings on the color, considering just watching it made me want to go out and drive with no destination and no intention, just listening to the music on the radio and tuning out everything but the sound and the road.
Turning something as mundane as an errand run into something so fantastic.. Beautiful work.
You inspire me to live on and accomplish my goals in life. Right now in this time of life i'm going through a busy period but i hope my work will bring out the same in others one day. Great work! :D
Man i just found your channel from Notch's Tumblr (the minecraft guy) and seriously your videos are awesome, you manage to pick some simple things and turn them in entertaining and also relaxing videos to watch, specially this one which is my personal favorite, man you deserve a medal, seriously, congratulations for your amazing work.
@xFu510nx It takes me a long time to find a color scheme I like. Usually I use something like this as a base though. Green Skies, Yellow Clouds, Blue-Green shadows. Feels retro and like it captures the feeling of being out there on the road. Hard to explain. But this kind of color gives me the feeling of travel in the afternoon. Relaxing somehow.
@Animagus336 I need to add that to the description. My mother had requested I join her on a day trip to Orlando to adopt a rabbit. (I guess for help if anything went wrong). This video was on the trip back Roughly 250 miles. We were going at Mach 6.5 according to the video.
@b0redx9 I usually spend a few days finding music. It's tough finding a song with a temp and atmosphere that matches. Not to mention one that fits the duration.
Hey, awesome work, really admire it. Did you use a picture style of your eos to achieve this Classic Film Color Grading look or did you postprocess the video?

@xbastix53 I shoot as flat as I can. Minimum sharpness, minimum contrast, minimum enhancement. Then I edit in either Sony Vegas or Adobe After Effects. For this, I used Sony Vegas and a few iterations of Color Curves.
Wow, ok,I desperately tried all day log yesterday to achieve thie effect for my pictures in Photoshop or Lightroom ... don`t get my pictures to look as yours, although I have the same camera.
Do you know whether there is any documentation on how to edit photos or videos like this as this is definitely an awesome effect.

@xbastix53 I will certainly add a color grading guide to my upcoming list of tutorials.
As a general aim for you. I used curves for the color. To get the yellow high lights, bump up the green and red channels in the right side. More green than Red, hard to explain. As for the green -blue shadows, simply remove some red in the lowlights and remove a small amount of blue. This is the general idea behind it. I used many separate Curves adjustments.
