Wake up Morons, the civil rights organizations are the ones championing that the death penalty is State sponsored killing for revenge. When I was young, everybody knew that the death penalty had absolutely nothing to do with revenge & very little to do with punishment. The death penalty is a tool of the State & Fed to permanently eliminate those violent felons who should never be released back into society. Examples: Theodore Bundy, The D.C.-Beltway Sniper, Lemaricus Davidson Gang etc etc.

2) The death penalty does not reduce crime. In fact, it is shown that states with the death penalty have a 48 to 101 percent higher homicide rate.

3) Liberalism is a political view. It is in fact older and had a greater effect on the world than conservatism.

4) What you consider liberal is conservative everywhere else in the world.

-Your right this is not the middle ages, we believe in the right to a fair trial until proven guilty. There is no truth that not having the death penalty reduces crime because the DP is never used. What we consider liberal is Canada and Europe, but Japan, China, South Korea, and India are some that use the DP all the time, way more than the US does, and look how much lower their crime is.

The fact is the death penalty has no effect on detterence and is incredibly more expensive to operate fairly, the money saved from abolishment could be use on police depts, drugs programs and welfare which are the steps needed to relieve the situations which lead people down the road to commiting henious crimes.
