Wow,,,what a bunch of barstool commercial carriers. The XL specialized trlr seen in this video is only an 8-tire with a 3 axle tractor, it's not an extendable and only a 40 ton deck, he maybe tares at 40k on the high end. The dozer is set so far back because most pussies who transport won't load up the tractor and so they are taught to load the trlr heavy to "weigh out". To clear up something else,,it's 20k/axle and out west you can get as much as +-46k on an 8-tire tandem or 60k+on 16 tires.
If you tried to put that on four tandems and the steers you'd be over-legal,that's not a regular trailer,there's 16 tires on the trailer alone,that's why they've got the crawler set back so far on the trailer.
I drove a regular tractor trailer for several years,the tractor and trailer came out to about 34,000 empty.
Each tandem axle is reted for 20 thousand pounds and the steering axle is rated for 12 thousand pounds that adds up to 92 thousand pounds, the tractor and trailer weighs about 24 thousand ,
Now if the tractor weighs 55 thousand and the rig weighs 24 thousand that comes to 79 thousand. within legal limits.
i did not know that, how do you know this? besides it came from arkansas how els are you going to get it some were there, drive it??? thats if it had an engine, all there equipment is hauled on lowboys
