@BluetifuI ya i agree.. all babies are different and the "rules" should be taken as general guidlines.. all babies dont walk at exactly 12 months.. all babies dont crawl at exactly 6 months etc etc.. i think u gotta study ur baby and see when they are ready. of course educate urself on the topics so u dont go into things blindly but a parent usually knows when their baby is ready

@jillbiggs see i just dont see how your daughter is biracial too. im in the same perdicament my mom is half black half german and my dad is black. so im black lol yes like you said 75% black 25% german but that doesnt qualify people like me to be "biracial" or "mixed" you and my mom are but me and your baby really honestly isnt. if mixed people half and half have a hard time being excepted as both than really a quarter aint nothing ya know. you look at first white, than i saw the hair lol.

I get slack for saying shes black and slack for saying shes mixed.. so ill just go by how she looks. she has ringlets and light skin so to me she looks mixed.. but it doesnt really matter to me cause shes cute either way :D

I know you're not looking for advice here; but 4 months is too early. Just because she shows some of the signs of readiness, doesn't mean you should force it upon her. I know you probably don't see it as 'forcing' if she's taking it well -- but her digestive system really is not ready for it yet. The majority of doctors these days, who are up to date, will tell you the same thing.

I urge you to look into some 'baby led solid' videos here on youtube, do a little more research.

@ObbsAndLala thanks for your thoughts. She is nursing every hour (or more) so it is recommended that she have something more because that is a sign that its not enough for her any more, as she used to go 2-4 hours between feedings. I am giving it to her gradually to get her digestive tract used to it.. only gave her 2 tbsp so far and she didnt even eat it all. But I will check out the videos your suggested :)
