@dk3919 It's not just drop D, actually.

It's a tuning called DADGAD tuning.

Look for his famous true love video and he's playing those chords there.

It's simpler than it looks lol.

@Ezerlance I back this guy up! Phil always plays DADGAD or half step down from that (C#,G#,C#,F#,G#,C#). I lead worship and play in this tuning a lot and it is actually very simple once you get the chord structures down. Most major chords are shaped the same as well as most minor chords.
