It is good to see these guys carrying on the tradition of great music! I have been a HUGE FAN for over 30 years and I couldn't give TWO SHITS that these guys are not "the original band" and such crap! Lynyrd Skynyrd of old we can never get back. That was greatness and timeless treasure to be enjoyed on vinyl or CD cranked UP loud! However, THESE GUYS still making music are daily paying tribute to Ronnie, Steve, Cassie, Allen, Billy,Leon, Hughie and Ean. THAT is Skynyrd Nation!!! God Bless

i am in Detroit and also think Kid Rock is great... but damn LS will never die! Why not keep the band alive and let us hear all of the classic live every year?! As far as Kid Rock goes... yuk! He is a record label puppet. They are talking about artist that are songwriters and how much it means for the artists to write their own songs, Kid just sings whatever the label says. Sure he is a HUGE draw, but I (personally) have very little if any respect for Kid. I love Skynyrd always have - they are just real down home people as is BSC. Just my lame opinion LOL!

Same here. Rickie, Gary, Johnnie all know it (Kid Rock is a poser) but, they're gentlemen and older, so, it's kind of like minding their children. They're (Skynyrd) the real deal and he's a wannabe. Sorry Kid Rock fans, but, in time, you'll grow to see and understand this.

Wow you need to learn a little about kid rock! He plays every instrument on the stage & he DOES write alot of his own songs. Kid Rock is one of those guys you either like or you don't & I was converted the first time I saw him live. Most people that don't like him only know very limited amounts about his music.

Hitting my 13th Skynyrd show tonite in Columbus. My gf's 13 year old daughter wanted Skynyrd to be her 1st ever concert & she's getting what she wanted!

Sure. There's plenty of folks who CAN play many instruments, however, they're FAR from being masters of them. Big difference.

Maybe when "Kid" goes out and pulls off the "Freebird" solo, or plays drums on "Gimme Back My Bullets" or can harmonize on "Simple Man" or play the piano on "Whiskey Rock-a-Roller" then maybe I will call him a "musician", but I doubt it. He is a poser, he used to wear clocks around his neck and listen to Kid-n-Play! He is a freekin' puppet, the modern day Vanilla Ice, trying ANYTHING to stay rich. He is simply an overrated "entertainer"!

@Trendkiller67 Have you seen him play piano? Didnt like him at first but "open your mind" and realize this: HE NEVER FAILS TO PAY TRIBUTE TO HIS FAVORITE BAND! And he wouldnt be on THEIR albums if they didnt respect him as well. Have u heard "gimme back my bullets" on vicious cycles? Probably not...you havent bought a new musicANYTHING (cassette, l.p., c.d.) since Sweet Home came out!

Rickey's totally right! I never liked Kid Rock but then I went to a Skynyrd show co-headlined by Kid Rock and I got hooked on him that night and went out and bought "Rock n' Roll Jesus" the next day, such a great performer and epic live show. Rock n' Rebels Tour Kicks Ass! The new songs are awesome, can't wait till God n' Guns - 9/29
