where's the salsa in this routine?? There isn't one single basic salsa step here... there isnt any actual dancing either,,, there's supposed to be a balance between tricks and dancing... this was 98% tricks. It's good but not great.
Sure, many of these moves were modified for performance purposes. Still a majority of them (excluding lifts and shines) can be lead and followed in a real dance.
Also, just because you can't "see" a basic step, doesn't mean it's not salsa. Often, the best salsa dancers out there can transition between moves so seamlessly that there's no need to have any "basic step".
But that's beside the point. This routine is a performance piece. That's what it is. It's not meant for real world dancing.
