Look up jakeskajira.blogspot.com. Read or view the photos. They are very happy Goreans. She writes about her life. You can read how she lives and lots of stereotypes would be broken. She has a very lenient Master, and most Masters would not treat their property badly as they care about their kajira/kajirae.

The beliefs and philosophies John Norman based the books off of existed since the dawn of time. Goreans believe in the natural order, or life in its purest form. John Norman simply gave these beliefs a fictional world where people did not suppress nature. But the fictional stuff from the books that cannot exist in real life are kept in the books.
@robojox10 Roleplayers on the other hand play out the fictional stuff and all usually online. Also, there are some real life extremist Goreans that have given Goreans a bad image much like how Muslim extremists make the Muslim religion look bad. So people of Gorean beliefs adapted some of the names coined in the books. This in turn gave people that believe in those beliefs, philosophies, etc a context, a title, etc.

Good point. I agree. Any form of sub-dom relationship is natural, and beautiful. Feelings are primarily an issue of attitude and mind. Any two people may find the right position for themselves.

I have read those books, I have understood the underlying philosophie. This "lifestyle" stuff is taking literally the analgie that the books offer to explain Professor Langes philosophy about the "nature of human beings". To make that an actual lifestyle is plain stupid and those people need professional help, both the "Kajirae" and the "Masters". Its insane.

Just because you have seen more overweight ones doesn't mean there are more. The majority of Goreans I have seen are not overweight. Weight has nothing to do with religion.

Only problem I see explained is the pride. A kajira is property. Love- I find hard to be really true in Gor, especially for slaves. Since a slave can be sold at any given time. Stolen too. Traded back if needed.
Realistically, also, to explain things, time yourself minute by minute and each time you say, "uh," "umm," or pause, restart all over till you break the long minute taking pauses. It ruins the worth of the explanation.
