Hey this really helps a lot! Seems like if i get a Mk2 and put a megatron on it, i have a very decent kite with some improved safety. I think i'll either get that, or a Access XC 08, depending on what's available on second hand market. Thanks a bunch!
The Mk1, although still a good kite, has some issues, the wing tips will luff, unless you keep a bit of bar pressure on it during the turns, the safety is not so good as the latter ones, but again, if you do not have a lot of cash, then a very good D/P kite to start with. Hope this helps you.

The Mk2 and the XC, if you are tight for money, then no, the Mk2 is almost as good, the main difference is the megatron chicken loop, and safety release system on the XC is so much better, but the why they fly, and handle is nearly the same, slightly better up-wind performance from the XC.
