TATA Done a really nice job......... As the safety point of view....... no dobut its lesser then VW n Toyota or others but much better then ride a Motor Byke. If you have a experiece of riding on byke then u can imagne how useful this car........... TC and Obey trafic rules for safe drive. The heaviest vehicle didnt gurantee for safe drive..........

The car was designed in Italy by Institute of Development in Automotive Engineering(IDEA), and fuel management, ECU and all electrics and electronics by Bosch Engineering. Anybody can make a block and put some pistons in it, but to actually _develop_ an engine, you need someone like Bosch if you don't have the talent in-house. Everyone is criticizing this car for not having power steering or A/C, but remember it will suit the needs of common man in India and is good for Indian traffic.Moreover this is a basic model and its sensation is all about price tag 1 Lakh Rupees and they have other variants having A/C.why didn't other manufactures launch their basic model for such a low price. The intro music is Strauss Also Sprach Zarathustra. It was widely known after the use as the theme from 2001 A Space Oddessey. It has since been exploited by anyone wishing a dramatic intro. Honestly though, even with so many people performing and using this music, few do it justice. Some of the best recordings of it may be found on 60's era Deutsche Grammaphone vinyl. TATA can make 2500 dollar car is making impossible possible. Those cars could sell by the masses in middle income countries. The small profit margins would go towards cars to export to the West. Indian company will take on the Chinese, and probadly the western producers.

abe jhandu, The engine is in the back. and there is no such thing as (plastic+metal). The panels are either made of metal or plastic. And its body is sheet metal body. If you know what that means. And you have no idea how many service centers tata has country wide and the ACE is doing just fine with its plastic front panel.

This unveils how the Auto Industry is rotten inside selling ´security´ issues to inflate prices. 30 years ago we all drove moving fridges and nobody complained. It looks cool.

Everyone is criticizing this car for not having power steering or A/C, but remember it will suit the needs of common man in India and is good for Indian traffic.Moreover this is a basic model and its sensation is all about price tag 1 Lakh Rupees and they have other variants having A/C.why didn't other manufactures launch their basic model for such a low price. Till yesterday in INDIA there was no car less than 3 Lakh Rupees.

Thanks to TATA for this little cheap car.
NANO will replace two wheelers and no one really cares if it doesn't have A/C or power steering..even the basic models from other AUTO manufacturers doesn't,just think how many families have A/C in their houses. All they need is a vehicle to commute with their family or friends and also suitable for growing traffic in Indian cities.NANO meets safety and emmision standards in INDIA and thats enough and it is far safer than two wheeler.
