Ugg....ok people....everyone complaining about the playback.....pretty much ANY and ALL music performances filmed for TV are playback. It's not uncommon for some bands to play completely live, but for most pop acts, they have to in order to keep a consistent performance and to minimize mistakes. It costs more to host a television event than a simple concert and the people paying for the show need to make sure they are getting their money's worth.

I was told that if they do live performance for a TV show, played live, but they rely on the studio version of the TV when the sound is not very good. If your really there at the concert, they play live.

More often than not, when they do playback like that...it's not the band's choice. The network asks the management due to professionalism and an image they want to hold. Have you noticed that when it's a concert that they had control over, he's always live? It's not really up to them. Chill out
