Good to see you back. I like the eggplant tip and will try it.
A few years ago when our Mr. Coffee bit the dirt, I made coffee with the filters and strainer method. It works well. Good video. I like your porch furniture.
Welcome back! I am a fairly new subscriber and i love your video tips! I hope you will be happy in your "new" home, no matter the circumstance. We live in a tiny house as well, so I am hoping you will now give tips for that kind of living!?!!
@tiselput - So glad you ARE a subscriber! Any tips I can share that help are worth sharing! If you have questions - pop them on over and I'll do what I can!
Donna we lost our home to fire back in November and now have a new home. Not sure how you lost yours but I understand about 'starting over'. Glad you are back!! I will definitely try the eggplant! sounds yummy!
Hey nice seeing you. I still have boxes in the hall. LOL. I love eggplant and funny thing I made the same thing not to long ago for dinner too. Yummy!
@cooksalot1 - Great minds think alike! That and they are nice and available and cheap! (o: We make 'bacon' out of it in the dehydrator. Will have to get my youngest to demo that...it's her 'thing'. (o:
Glad you're back! I like how you simply told us how to make Eggplant Parmesan. Some people new to cooking may be frustrated by the lack of amounts, but I found it refreshing. You made it sound so easy. Thank you!
@TheDenisedrake - If I could have showed y'all I would have it's super simple. When the kitchen is more usable I will! Hope you give it a try - cheap and healty and easy! What could be better!
@Hobohube - Well I am honored to have that compliment! Thank you! Perserverance does pay off!
James 1: 2-4 "My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing."
Hi..welcome back, good to see you're still with us. Sorry about the lose of your previous home, but thank God you're now in a new home, some people pray everynight for a home. Looking forward to see what you have in store for us. God bless.
@rss22 - Thank you! Yes we are quite Blessed! We've known the 'homeless' feeling and loss of home feeling - so even though others may not see it as a 'great' home - WE are SO THANKFUL! And it is cozey and fun to work on. Kind of like starting over as newly-weds like it was 25+ years ago! (o:
I use french press I got for $2 at a thrift shop no filters to buy, no electricity needed and it makes better coffee than most coffee pots because the water is not usually hot enough to get the full flavor out of the beans. They are a real best buy For those who love Espresso you really do not need an espresso machine you can get the Crema on top simply using the turkish method & turkish coffee just find it without the cardamom
@bonzaibb12 - I had one of those that the kids got me for holiday one year. But alas it broke. )o: So the funnel (it's a canning funnel with a screen that I prefer) will work for a while.
It's great to have you back : ) I hope you are ok with the move and change in your life. I just love all your tips... I'm on day 17 without any coffee!!! Yay!! I just felt like I was jumping all the time inside my body and not sleep deep.. so far I feel way better and have a full day planned ! I can't control the world only me : ) I'm really glad to see your posting again...I"m so sorry about the house.. remember LESS IS MORE. Now to practice what I preach, I'm dejunking my office.
@AsintheDaysofNoah - WOW...no coffee! I'm IMPRESSED! Honestly I can do with out it and green tea with some almond milk in it does me just as good, but there are those days I just love my coffee!
Dejunking the office is harder for me than ANY other area of the house. I even tend to MOVE that junk from house to house...there should be a 12 step program.
Glad to see you back. And staying positive. I made coffe just like that for over a year. Except i made it into a thermos, I look forward to seeing more vids from you.
Well hello Donna! wonderful to see you. So sorry to hear about your home, but sounds like you are settling in your new home well = )
I've thought about you often. In fact just yesterday I was wondering how you are doing. You've become this "little voice" when I'm choosing things or discover something new! lol
I love Eggplant, I'm going to try that recipe out! Still loving that Vanilla Stevia. I put 2 drops in my oatmeal and that makes me a very happy camper lol
Wow! Thank you for your encouraging words! It really is nice to know that anything I've shared has been helpful! That's why I do this.... (o:
I love stevia in oatmeal - also use it in muffins (in the wet ingredients) to cut down a bit on the sugar (still like my sugar though - at least a bit).
Heading out to get more eggplant today....we are making eggplant bacon!! YUM!
Glad to have you back. I am sure the last few months have been hard, but we know from experience, it is better to live small and debt free. I hope all your cleaning and kitchen upgrades come together smoothly.
Great to have you back Donna ! Best of luck with getting situated in your new little home. It looks cute from the porch with your white wicker furniture. Your positive attitude and ever resourceful spirit will get you through anything....you know this. All the best to you and yours !!
@mukwah1111 - Thank you so much! Your post is quite encouraging! I'm not always upbeat, but try to look at all this as an adventure, so that helps! It actually is fun!
oh yes, coffee, any pan with hot water will do.. after coffee has set in water to desired strength, simply pour / sprinkle a little cool water over the top, and you will see the grounds start to fall to the bottom of the pan, leaving fresh clear coffee ready to slowly pour into cups,
Good .. I'm glad you're back, and it is good to see that you are ok / safe.. sizing down is a wise move nowadays, I will try the eggplant this weekend. thank you... cant wait.
