  • fuck.....mommy i want to go home

  • waw...

  • Great video and great sound. Thank you for not ruining it by inserting some other sounds, music, etc.as so many do.

  • *at every wave* Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shiT!!!

  • Se her ja , 900 tusen har sett filmen min til nå......... samt Aftenbladet har satt inn link på filmen min :-) . Hilsen han som har laget /filmet kkllnmo fra Stavanger / Tananger.

  • very beautiful yet.. very dangerous

    gotta love the open sea

  • shit

  • How did i get from ford ecoboost engines, to this!?

  • Can this sort of weather/waves sink boats of this size? I mean...is this really dangerous weather?

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS Providing those on watch know what their doing at the helm, then no. However, if for example you loose power, or steering, or the bridge crew are idiots then you can find yourself in real danger.

  • These guys have got balls of steele. If I was on that boat I would be totally shitting myself...and my balls...well they would have been rather deflated.

  • i would hate being there listening to that cold steel pop and bend

  • OH JEEZ look at them waves. I am bloody glad I ain't on the ship.

Springs to mind the Hymn. Eternal Father strong to save, Whose arm doth bind the restless wave.

  • another reason i hate boats

  • im a soon to be a graduate of M.E. hope i wont encounter much like this wow to much big waves... too scary but exciting gives thrill in vogaye LOL

  • Where can i get the original vide0?

  • That looks like it was a heck of a storm! Great vessel that looks like she could though whatever the sea can through at her! Although I would have slowed down to dead slow, minimises the grey water and spray you kick up, easier on the boat to! :)

  • He needs a faster windshield wiper!

  • starting of hurricane

  • waves scare the shit outta me. :0

  • Just amazing how mariners are able to get used to seas like this and do their jobs. These waves look like they're at least 30 feet high.

  • @jrgensface1 nice to know

  • wow..............

  • i want to do this.

  • This video remembered me when i used to play Pac-man...

  • 34 ppl got sea sick after watching this video :)

  • 2:12 :D

  • There's something about being on something that big, and feeling it move in that way that is truly thrilling! The closest I've gotten was when I was on one of the Cape May -Lewes ferries. The captain bounced off the fenders a bit too hard and it shook the whole 300-some foot vessel! ...but I'd imagine that it hardly compares with this!

  • wow! Hehe totaly know the feeling of "flying" then slamming into the next wave, but this was some extraordinary hard hits to the bow! I'd be seriosly worried something would break xD You could hear everything shaking, and i know its a lot of shaking haha..better then getting it from the side though x) Looks like safe saling since you back to upload but!try sleep in that weather..hahah..want to try some day but..preferebly on a ship with the x-bow ^^ less slamming ;D

  • hoooly fucking SHIT !! that is some big ass waves '''''

  • @kklinmo My "once in a lifetime experience" was on the RMS Caronia (a

Cunard cruise liner) 1963 mid Atlantic wind off the scale. We hove to for

two days to ride it out. The foredeck was swept clean and all the hand rails

were flattened aginst the deck like matchsticks. Windows on the passenger

lounge ABOVE the bridge were smashed! (wasnt sick though he he he)

  • shiver me timbers, ive seen bigger waves in my tea cup...ta ta

  • I have been shot at, exited the aircraft at low level and been in the ring with a few tough boys. But this takes more balls than I have.

    Sailors, ballzy.................

  • god that looks scary, but i really want to try it

  • the wave is not so big the only problem was the ship is too small

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*barf* weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! i wold to see some ones shit!!

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*barf* weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

  • This work is for real men

  • ohhh hell nah. I would shit, piss, and shit my self. Yes i said shit twice...

  • ..wow, heavy hit on 2:18

  • the bow of the ship must have been airborne in some of these shots...

  • imagine the butterflies in your stomach over each wave now i know why people get sea sick...

  • hihi hat einer bock bisschen zu quatschen ihr werdets warscheinlich nicht bereuen

  • I would like to be in that ship it's amazing

It the see is your element!!!!

    great video

  • offshore in north atlantic=badass

  • i´ve experienced just as big waves in a much smaller boat, 100 feet fishing boat. The best time I´ve ever had:)

  • damn!!! lol

  • how about passengers

  • i am ded

  • 2:18 I've been scared !

  • These people are brave to face the wrath of the sea, even in the sturdiest of vessels. They have my admiration!

  • Yeah, the sea might look terrifying, but the ship eventually made it out OK. Taking into account how many hundreds of thousands ships cross the ocean each year and how few of them are lost every year due to rough seas ... yes, id say that even as the sea remains always a force not to be taken lightly, mankind is not at the mercy of the waves anymore...

  • Fuck

  • no lunch 4 me today, holy shit and the listen to sounds , crazy

  • it's almost a submarine!!

  • porca puttana!!!!

  • This would be fun in a fucked up sort of way...

  • holy shit i would be the guy in the back of the bridge thinking we are gonna die

  • Comment removed

  • imagine the ship was made of wood...

  • @ichmagmeinelulu . I thought of that too. Imagine the immigrant people who crossed the waters in days gone by. What must a storm like this have been like for them.

  • i wud be scared as fuck wat if dat shit goes under water lol

  • So kenne ich die Nordsee. Schönes Video!

  • just goes to show that man was not ment to travel the seas.

  • i feel dizzy and green.!!!!

  • how do you get these kind of jobs?

  • So humanity is making giant metal behemoths to cross the oceans now?

I don't think the sea gives a flying fuck.

  • dude you should also play Dark Waters & Dark Skies by Rogue Music on jango.com

  • 2:20 sick :D

  • At 2:14, it's awesome how the massive ship gets tossed up so high before crashing into the waves below...Epic.

  • Ive been on some pretty rough crossings over the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man but this video is something else.....i was getting seasick just watching it....

    Thanks for posting!

  • literally bananas in pajamas

  • funny thing is a 50ft boat would have no problem in that

  • no wooden ship would make it through that!

  • I would need one stiff drink after that! *toast to stril myster & crew*

  • Passport: Check.

    Sandals: Check.

    Sunhat: Check.

    Sea legs: Check.

    Brown trousers: Check.

    Bible: Check.

  • 2:10

    Jesus H!

  • man this hip does nice wheelies!

  • 2:17 damned !!!

  • i am a sailor and sail on this big ships clearly the speed is to high.

you adjust the speed in this weather.

But it is possible that a rouge wave hits the ship.

  • The safest place would be in the crow's nest well away from those waves.

  • damn...pretty big impacts...any damage?

  • You never seem you get used to the noises a ship makes in a bad storm!!! Thank god I was never deployed on a puddle jumper like that.....*fingers crossed*

  • I feel nauseated just watching this on my PC.

  • fuck that

  • that would be so cool up there, but id be shitting myself !

  • Holy crap, I hope they had plenty of barf bags on hand.

  • where was this? in which sea?

  • @timmmi73 North Sea.

  • fuck that haha

  • imagin the you are onn the litle boat

  • massive seas! luky there wasnt a side swell as well, the boat was moving pretty fast 4 those conditions!

  • OMG

  • *hurl* :P~~~@

  • and its feels good to swim over there!!! looks like your surfing with your life!!! lol

  • idiots they have to much speed in this weather you can damage your ship this way.

  • @robo116 Given the amount of training you have to have to pilot a ship of this size, I'm sure they know what they're doing. Not only that, I'd rather power into the waves than get broadsided by them - if they don't maintain their bow into the waves, getting hit from the side could easily capsize them. Which is why losing power is a bad bad thing.

  • i fish weather like this on 80-100ft boats this boat is huge think this scares u

  • scared the shit out of me felt like i was there

  • I would be curled up in the fetal position somewhere... omg. Amazing!

and I hate to admit it but when I first starting watching this I kept thinking of the Perfect Storm (my husband refuses to watch that movie, but I still love it)

  • 2:13 shit!

  • I can s¿it my pants, cry like a toddler, and ask for daddy if I ever met a situation like that. Scary? no, deadly.

  • Crazy crazy crazy !!!!

  • im probaly sounding hell naive but that looks like fun

  • I was scared just by watching it..

  • MASSIVE WAVES

  • holy shit... This is a massive swell.

  • how to be a mean captain... "Hey deckhand go wash my windows off with fresh water"

  • @cokeicee LOL

  • @cokeicee You would never treat Deckhands nor any other Rating as scum. As you are implying with such a post.

  • 2:13

    wtf?!

  • 2:13 has bad written all over it

  • fck that!!

  • i cant spot myself in this video as the windshield is bit wet but im sure i passed this ship in a runabout with a 9 horsepower evinrude outboard and couple of fishing rods and nearly got hit but survived . Thought i saw the guy filming wasnt sure.. got little cold and wet but all good .. no fish caught either... nearly fell out once too.

  • these winterstorms are pretty common in the North sea. That doesnt make it less fun to watch though, but the suplyboats are used to this kind of weather.

    Norwegian

  • a reminder that when mother nature says enough playing kids we better listen. she can pacify us very quickly

  • thanks for sharing this amazing footage with us!

  • Captain turns to First-Mate and says:

" John, I thought you repaired the window wiper?"

  • I see no reason for the first mate to repair the wipers since there are fully able AB ranks on vessels

  • That Looked...... SO FUN I WANT A TURN. ME NEXT ME NEXT!!

  • never before have I seen a person so willing to shit himself :D

  • 2.13-2.23 oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck. "captain im off to change my underpants, they have a fair bit of brown in them"

  • this makes deadliest catch look like bobbing for apples.

  • supply vessel!

  • That ship plows, its too heavy in the bow

  • have you every heard of 'ballast'?

  • its cause of the waves, normal smaller waves gradually get higher and ships are designed to withstand that kind, but the larger ones are so big the they start to break so its basically like a vertical wall of water, and a sheer drop thats why the ship plows.

  • AllianceB95

trust me you dont, its like torture in there, first you feel some pressure in head, then you feel like you falling, you cant eat, sleep, or damn stand on your feet. maybe that storm can last a day or maybe a week, you better be on big +150m ship, those goes like tank through waves. ive been there

  • Yeah dude! That is great! I want to be at sea with those waves 5*

  • in full screen mode you really become a little bit sea sick :))

  • wow.... does it sunks?

  • what was the duration of that storm

  • With waves like these, how do you go about moving stuff and people between the rig and the ship?

  • very carefully lol

  • Very nice. I know it isn't possible, but I would have loved to have seen it from the outside.

  • 2:12 Jesus Christ!

  • Shit

  • 2.18 the best

  • yes! its like an explosion!

  • a brave team....respect.

  • that would get me over my fear of flying.

  • ships/boats like that for the most part can pump out water as quickly as they take it on though right?

  • @1DanielChristensen They aren't taking on water it is just washing on the decks and yes there are holes in the railings called scuppers that let it out at a fast rate, but is done by gravity. On a day like that all the hatches are sealed so the ship doesn't take water below deck.

  • holy mother of god I'd probably cry there

  • Krazy

  • Very serioz weather.

  • holy shit!

  • I've been in seas like this for three days off NZ coast and in mid Atlantic, far safer than being near land. they came unbroken over the boat deck 46 feet above waterline, quite scary

  • I've seen vids online of ships in conditions like this. but how long does a situation like this last? an hour or so? hours? only a couple minutes?

  • this can last for hours or days

  • i like the rough sea

  • ¨the sea is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!!

you have no idea how HUGE the sea really is .. it really is a monster!

  • Bjarmi92 + comment = ...FAIL...

  • Excellent video..wow the waves were like mountains.

  • ive been in a gale force storm and those where 7 foot seas and i was shiting my pants stuf like this would make me cry for my mommy thes guys have some massive balls!!

  • i'm going on a cruise and i'm scared there might be waves like those lol. watching videos with big waves probably isn't helping... *ehh*

  • this must ahve been super bad

  • sounds like a damn cannon going off everytime a wave hits!

  • i dont want to think of the people dying in the seas like that

put your heart at the right place by watching the calm face of the sea here

i like to treat you bad by nafunk degroove

  • I'd be focused on not screaming out profanities if i was on this boat

  • If I was the sailor i Would go to toilet and stay there!!!!

  • am allmost sure that every body here would go sea sick after 3 hours of this ,oh and did i sai that there were sailord that commited suicide because they couldn't escape sea sickness after days and days of bad sea ?

  • Thats right,a good sailor can handle.Saying that,I know guys who have been at sea for over 30 years and still they are seasick.

  • well, a good sailor can handle that

  • i would freak out

  • oh wait u were a passenger. You prolly were the co. man. lol

  • Ok dude, now when you get to the rig. r they going to say back up under the crane........NO. so wtf is the point of going out in that S#%t. How far out was the rig. Typical hurry up and wait BS in the oilfield!! Id have to tell the CO. Man to go F*^k himself. Oh wait yall were prolly delivering his newspaper right?

  • fuck that shit, i cant wait too be a king crab fisher!

  • LOL ok be a vegan like me!!

  • better call the coast gaurd

  • and that is why i dont get the ferry to Amsterdam

  • i'd shit my pants too and i am a surfer!

  • lol

  • cazzo..that ship was flying ..how many hours in the storm?have you had a leash or you were just jumpin' around?

    cool video!!

  • I went thru a storm like that on a canadian coast guard icebreaker off the coast of newfoundland heading north to the ice flos in the artic

  • I was on a car carrier in a storm like that in the north atlantic, winter of 2003. we lost about 20 mini coopers, 3 fork lifts and 17 BMWs.

  • did you feel unsafe at any time?

  • They dont get scared cause they are experts seaman so that wont scared them only they would be scared if a tsunami would hit that ship.

  • Tsunami only gets big when it reaches the shore, not in the middle of the sea.
