I just finished this in 15 steps, (took a lot of saving and reloading). - I got up to 0:59 with only having made the two steps required to get out the elevator. - I was at 9 steps at 1:24 (on the victory lift). - BUT - this is impressive considering it was pretty much all in one go, and that he/she did it in a minute and a half (and back in 2007) --- My tip set "sv_autosave 0" - autosave can only bring you misery

I did 30 by myself. Yay me! Then I came on here to see how much better other ppl are doing it. Saving those couple steps by bouncing the ball off musta taken forever, lol glad i didn't do that xD

Did this in 20 steps...you can shave several off in the hallway just after the elevator. Put yourself in infinite freefall; then in the first couple cycles before you're going too fast, try and throw one on the floor next to the emancipation grid. Tricky to pull off, but you should have enough momentum when you come out to make it over the wall.

That is an amazing run. I don't think I'll ever be able to do that. But I did it in 54 steps, so at least I still got Gold. ;)

You can shave off 2 at the very beginning by instead of flinging over the glass wall, you just launch yourself strait UP next to it and then make a controlled decent over and then down on the other side, placing 2 portals as you fall to catch yourself

My best is 44 steps but I know I could do a lot better than that. 25 Steps is inhumane!

Damn man that was really good. My best is 54 steps. I messed up really bad at the end though and added an extra 10 or so steps. But I got gold so whatever.

u opened more than 100 portals, ur using some sorta opf cheats, ps i can do it in 14 REAL STEPS

thats a way to not get caught, save it just before you go through the glowy dorr bit, load up a new level and when taht starts, then load your save go into the elevator in your saved game it doesnt kno you cheat the level :P

The trick that is usually employed is using two portals to keep them suspended in the air so they don't actually touch the ground

I always think of morbidly obese people when thinking of a challenge involving 'least number of steps'.

I don't really know but I think you can lose some steps if you press back when you hit ground so you don't slide so much.

yeah when u did the cool wall trick dodging thw moving platforms part you could have shaved a few feet. How the fuck did u get that orb perfectly in the absorber. i was suprized. I cant wait until someone does a foot one for level 19 :D
