The fact is the Wahabist/Salafist brand of extremist Islam is the one that controls much of the institutionalized Islam in terms of mosques and teaching in them. Islam is a wide spectrum of ideals; not all Muslims subscribe to the same exact version. If it was like that then everyone would either accept extremism or no one would. Some do and some dont, so obviously there is a divergence.

However, Christianity has reformed itself -- both with the New Testament and with the Protestant Reformation. @SCWahoo: SO I insist, Islam do not condone to enforce anything to non-believers and also accounts Muslims for doing that but these are people so called "Muslims Scholars" who became beasts now a days.
AND I AM WITH YOU TO CONDOM THEM, I Just Request you to blame only those who do the bad things, NOT ISLAM, NOT TO an AVERAGE MUSLIM, and also If you condom the whole Islam you will isolate the Good Muslims as well which can be really helpful to bring peace in society. e.g. Jamat e Ahmadiyya

@SCWahoo: So my point is time comes on every nation when they put behind the original and pure Teachings and follow the Scholar blindly even if the Scholar is not a true scholar. That is how the true teachings becomes violent and unacceptable. Secondly if you want to Read the true teachings of Islam and Quran visit alislam. org.
I am an Ahmadi Muslim and I am myself a victim of discrimination and persecution in my own country which is Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

@Sagricon It's sharia law that's bad. Any religion or group calling for holy war or condoning suicide bombing or treating their people so badly, especially women is a cancer on society. Why is it so important to put it there, they could put it somewhere else no problem. There is a reason why they want it there. The Islamic people have been burning our flag and bibles for a long, long time. They hate us and consider us their enemies and want to conquer us. Not saying all muslim/american want this
