  • You should lift it a little higher

  • hey, how are all of the electronics getting ruined in the water?

  • @stuwkowalski The electronics are waterproofed. If you go to scale4x4rc and do a search for 'waterproofing' you will find loads of tips of how to do this.

    Cheers/.

  • that was a great video, iv never really tried electric iv always prefered nitro powered, you should try them

  • Been there and done that.... sorry to say it, but I can't stand Nitro. Too noisy, too messy, too much time trying to get them to work properly!

And pretty much redundant now we have brushless + lipo!!!

Give me EP any day! LOL

  • That actually was a real truck, and those dogs at the end.. were really 10 feet tall dogs.. crazy, right?

  • that thing is awesome, my 2007 Chevy silverado will work like that for a little while before it needs to dry. i haven't waterproofed it and need to know how. , hope u can tell me.

  • cool vid! how does it work in that deep water?

  • Electrics are in a sealed box. See comments on my other vids for a more detailed description. Cheers.

  • awesome video

  • Thanks for taking the time to comment.

    Much appreciated. :)

  • put** some BBs in the tire get er right over the roof

  • Ha, thanks for the advice, but I'm already running wheel weights and this is a heavy sob truck... just the air trapped under the shell stops it from going under!! LOL

Next vid I am steering it like a boat it's 100% floating!

    Thanks for comments.

  • if you have 2 bodys poke a hole in one, that would probly work lopl that awsome!

  • out some BBS in the tire get er right over the roof

  • im sorry for so many questions but when u buy a brand new highlift thing like if u order it does it come rtr? ( ready to run)

  • nope, gotta build it

  • No, not rtr, but sometimes you see built ones for sale on auction sites.

Building them is great fun though.. and not difficult.

  • at the part where u said time to reverse u shouldve kept going..... lol!

  • LOL, yeah, but I had a vision of is sinking without trace... it nearly happened once before, luckily it only sank in 2 feet of water, so I could get it back... in this one I had no idea how deep it was getting!! Could have been gone for good!!!!

    Thanks for the comments. :)

  • by the way nice deepness and ballons to cover servos? just normal ballons?

  • Yep, just normal balloons. Zip tie the neck around the cable or the linkage. Careful not to get oil on them - it makes them rot.

  • if u got a new brand new highlift f 350 how deep of water could u go?

  • I know rckid, the high-lift chassis comes water-proofed. sealed radio box

  • can you make a video on how or to show how u water proofed your truck?

  • The Hi Lift is a kit so it's not waterproof as is. You have to waterproof your electrics to go through this much water.

My reciever is in a plastic box, sealed with bathroom sealant.

My receiver, battery and servos are in balloons (ziptied at the neck, with a bit of the bathroom sealant in the neck to fully close the seal. Hope this helps.

  • great landy

  • Thanks. We lost most of the deepest clips of the video beacuse the camera person was pressing 'off' instead of 'on'!!! Oooops.

So look out for the next vid which will be deeper and muddier. Have made more mods to the truck, to cope with even more water!!!!!

  • what mods

  • ty for information

  • nice water action

  • Thanks.
