  • Love that affect as they pass, can't wait to another air show.

  • i gotta find an airshow close by here besides the Blues Home Coming show down in Pensy.

  • they're from Seymour Johnson AFB N.C, at 0:03 seconds pause it..you can see SJ on there tail wing.

  • I have one cousin that flies an F-16, another that flies A-10's, and another that flies a Little Bird Chopper. They are awesome aircraft, but damn if I dont miss the ole F15's

  • nothin different from the ole 15s and the new ones besides the fact they've been upgraded to fly by wire and a few more electronic upgrades. farther than that, they're the same. Now the plane i miss is the F-14.

  • hehe ole tomcats eh?

  • I miss the SUPER_TOMCAT F-14D

  • Dont we all man.....dont we all....

  • me to its geting ready to be replaced and the A-10 is bad ass lol its been hear for years and its gona stay for years

  • fuck...yes...

  • nice video, should have tried to incorporate the groud to add a little more craziness but 5 of 5 from me! sweet

  • you would have saw a row of heads. I was lucky to get this vid the way it was lol. Glad ya like it though!

  • Like it? This made my day!!! Thanks for sharing! I noticed your channel names a great Detroit Diesel, just wondering why. Im also a diesel freak along with Jets.

  • ah yea...da famous, true tried n tested legend.....da 6V92. ITs been my favorite engine since i was a kid. It started out from riding Greyhound's 102A3s, Eagle 15s and MC-9s. Although the 6V92 is my all time fav Detroit 2 stroker, i love the other big boys, like the 8V71, the 8V92, the 12V71 and the massive EMD 645E3 V16.

  • Awesome man! Detroits are bullit proof. Definately in the top three(if not higher) best engines along with Caterpillar and Cummins. Ive heard of logging machinery like yarders that had all sort of Detroit series in then that ran for years with whole piston assembalys thrown threw the crank case! And dont get me started about the sound of a 2 stroke DD!

  • man the sound of a 6V92TA pulling 1900 to 2100 RPMs with a quiet exhaust is simply music!! Then we have a nice GMC transit coach with an 8V71N starting off from a traffic light spewing black smoke. What i miss hearing back in the mid 80s were rock quarry trucks like Autocars, Oshkoshes and Kenworths all having 8V71s or 12V71s with 18 to 25 gears. The smoke coming from the stacks, the torq twists and the fact he only shifts 8 times before clearing the intersection....man!!

  • Ya tell me about it! Detroits sound wicked! Go to British Columbia, most of their logging equipment and trucks all have Detroit screamers. Its awesome to see Pacific's, Kenworth, Mack, and Hayes logging trucks with 6v71s, 8v71s, 8v92s, 12v71s, and so on. All the rock trucks mostly have detroits. Seeing a fully loaded rock truck with a 12v71 or 6v71 going up a grade and spewing blue smoke is pretty cool. Also what would you say most newer city buses are equipped with? What do bluebirds have?

  • Well that depends on the Bluebird bus. School Buses sitting on International Chassis have 8. some liter V8 diesels while Freightliners have Cummins ISBs or ISCs or even Mercedes Benz engines. The Bluebord highway buses have any thing from Cummins ISCs to M-11s, Detroit Series 60s or Cat C9s. There's even an option for John Deere engines.

  • Now newer city buses come with a host of engines. From Cummins come the M-11/ISM breed, the L-10/ISL, the C8.3E/ISC, the C5.9/ISB, the CAT C9 and C10, the Detroit Diesel SEries 40, 50 and 60. Some have John Deere engines.Very few come with Euro engines, such as MAN, Mercedes Benz and Rolls Royce.

  • Wow thats a lot of engine choices! Thanks for the info!

  • great! i got woke up by two of these yesterday morning, so loud! in England aswell, on the salisbury plaines, were use to alpha jets where i come from. lol

  • very nice view no glare or anything man u got a great camera

  • i had a great camera. That Cannon S2 Is i used to take this vid suffered an E18 error and crapped out. She's been replaced now by a Cannon SX100 IS

  • This jet used to be an SJ jet, now is a Guard F-15E from Rickenbacker ANGB from loud and proud Columbus Ohio.

  • Nah, Guard has them too. A friend of mine works on them, says they fly real fast

  • ooooh love it

  • does any body here know any website t get some info about jet engines?

    any website but wikipidia.

  • you'd have to look thru the manufacturer's websites....like Rolls Royce, Pratt/Whitney and GE.

  • they have Pratt and Whitney FIOO-P-220 turbofans

the korean version the f-15k has General electric F110-GE-129 as well as P&W

  • Actually, this was a Guard f-15E from Rickenbacker ANGB, Ohio

  • it is? how you know? lol

  • Strike Eagles are active duty only. Besides Rickenbacker has a tanker unit if I'm not mistaken.

  • Actually it is a F15-E from Seymour Johnson NC.

3 secs into the video you see the tail code of SJ which identifies it as a Seymour Johnson jet.

The 0495 is the serial number. Too the left of the serial number (not legible) are the letters AF and below that is the year the jet was manufactured

The red stripe at the top identifies what squadron at SJ it is assigned to. I think red is the 333rd Fighter Squadron but I could be wrong on that

  • Nice to see one from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base!

  • yea that was a real shocker too.

  • ha i was there on saturday and monday cool army tent thingy nothing but humvee in front of three big screens, the day was great.

  • Was this at the cleveland national airshow, i was there, man it was sooo cool.

  • sure was. i went Saturday wit a friend and my G/F
