@drrrink00 Yes, there was a better one from about 1982 onwards, mainly associated with Steve Rider and European finals such as Spurs in the UEFA and Everton in CWC. Still trying to find that one. This theme sounds like it's going to turn into Russ Abbot's Atmosphere.

When football was football, not the pre-packaged crap that passes for football sometimes. I blame the Premiership for taking the heart and soul out of the beautiful game.
The footage is Coventry City v The Hammers January 1981 in the 1st leg 3-2 after being 2-0 down thanks to Bethnal Green's very own Les Sealy. 35,468 there that night and yes we froze in the 2nd leg at Upton Park (10th Feb 1981)as West Ham won 2-0 in front of 36,551 including about 9,000 from Coventry.
Yeah, not the theme I remember either. I guess my time was late 80s ealy 90s when after watching Sportsnight on BBC for England, you'd turn over for the Ireland match that ITV seemed to have the rights for.
I seriously never thought I would hear this again! I had to almost plead with my folks to let me stay up for this, what with school the next day!! Happy days!!

You're fucking not wrong there. Not only is it impossible to get hold of, but nobody even knows who did the theme for MSS. It seems to have been lost.
Thanks, I'll look forward to seeing the clip. But what I'm really looking for is the _full, clean_ mp3 version, preferably with the name of the composer on it. But, to be honest, I don't think anybody has got that, because I think it's been lost deep inside ITV's archives. :)
This was February 1981. I should have the others as I used to record most things football back then, its just a matter of finding them. If I do I will add them. Thanks
