this game never gets old to me. i spent a couple of months only playing this game in every possible way i could play it. trying different strategies and that was just the campaign, my cousin and I spent who knows how long playing the multiplayer. those were some great matches we had.

This was a great game. I really wish they'd make a sequel. This game was highly reviewed but a lackluster advertising campaign led to poor sales despite the great reviews. It's no secret that EA is the greediest video game publisher out there. They couldn't care less about publishing great games. All they care about is turning huge profits. If a game doesn't make it's quota, no sequel will be produced. They don't care at all about appeasing fanboys.

I truly wish that this game gets a sequel. I had so much fun fighting the Soviets during this game. Maybe it would expand your leadership role - or maybe even put in vehicles.

All in all, Freedom Fighters is a great game with alot of potential - and no sequel, so I hope that changes.

Has anybody really noticed the similarities of freedom fighters to Super Mario bros?

Think about it.

1) At the end of every level you need to capture a flag.

2) You travel by pipes and a sewage system

3) at the end of the game you need to save the" princess"

4) Cris and Mario both have hats with an "M" on it.

5) both Cris and Mario are plumbers

6) you need to defeat soldiers that resemble goombas

Come on, the list goes on.

This was a great game when it came out. It looks like "Homefront" is going to be somewhat similar to this with (1st person and solo-based gameplay) instead of the 3rd person team-oriented mechanics that this one uses.

You should check it out if you haven't done so already.

@xentrox To be honest, the only thing Homefront and Freedom Fighters have in common is the theme of invasion. They're two different games - if anything Homefront resembles more of a Battlefield/Killzone mix.

Game still looks good after all it's years! And it was one of the first PC games i played that had RAGDOLL PHYSICS :D

@jambalolk Hitman: Codename 47 and its series was almost the first game that used the ragdoll physics. Hitman's creators, IO Interactive (the Danish game developers) created this game and used them again. The Great Escape (2003 game) that came out the same year as this game also used the ragdoll physics =) I think the video itself has a very great quality due to the year it was uploaded and even now. Heading towards 200 000 views!
