It wasnt Sonic Teams fault the game was rushed microsoft said to them we want the game by the holidays or else we will never let u make a sonic game for the 360 EVER. Soo it wasnt there fault this game is good all the sonic games are good in their own unique way

This game was not even that bad. The really bad Sonic game was Sonic Labyrinth for the Gamegear and Sonic Genesis for the GBA.

I don't understand why other people hate this game. Even though it has flaws, it was at least playable and fun. Also, this game give much more depth to it with the hub world and upgrades. I love this game a lot.

FINALLY someone who (a) appreciates this game for it's good quality (even though the game was rushed by sonic team) and (b) isn't nitpicking endlessly about the most pointless and trivial things in their reviews! For the this is a bad game for 3 reasons:

1.- Stupid glitches.

2.- Realistic Eggman&humans

3.- Dumb princess of soleanna.

I haven't played this game, but having watched the cutscenes, even though the game is called "Sonic the Hedgehog", it seems to be more Silver and Shadow's game than anything, since they carried most of the meat of the story, and Sonic hardly knew anything about Iblis or Mephiles throughout the course of the story.

I like this game but in my opinion silvers gameplay was the worse out of sonic and shadows and I don't want to nitpick but silver's head looks kinda like marijuana

Thank you so much! I'm so tired of people always giving unfair reviews to the Sonic series! Especially to this game! This has got to be my second favorite Sonic game. I hate how Ign and Gametrailers always seem to give a bad review just because it's a Sonic game! and it turns out that the loading times and glitches weren't Sega's fault! Microsoft and Sony told Sega that if they didn't release the game by Christmas they would sue them for not fulfilling there contract. You are the best!:D

@pkstarstorm1up People don't give bad reviews to Sonic games because they're Sonic, they give them bad reviews because they suck. Sonic fanboys never seem to realize this. If you tally up every flaw in a Sonic game and compare it to the flaws in a mario game, the mario game will definitely have less tallies. You should try doing that and see if I'm right.

ign and gametrailers NEVER list any good qualities when reviewing a Sonic game. They always just exaggerate the flaws and give it a bad review just because they hate Sonic. I'm not a fanboy because I just recently got into Sonic. and different doesn't mean bad! the Werehog was good, and the superspeed sections would have been great if microsoft and Sony hadn't threatened to sue sega if they didn't release the game by christmas and forced them to take out lots of great stuff and rush the game.

Also if I only played two sonic games that were 2 of the original games I'd be a sonic fanboy also. Sonic was good in 2D however he sucks in 3D (except sonic unleashed)

I didnt have many problems with this game either. The only 3 I had were sonics snowboarding section, silvers dusty desert section, and the soleanna forest's length.

Finally, a detailed review of why somebody likes this game. It's a shame this game was unfinished, but I enjoyed what it offered. It's also sad that the fanbase treats people who like this game like they are devoid of intelligence or are blind fanboys. This game isn't perfect, I wanted to hate it at first, but I actually played it, and enjoyed it. I think this game deserves a DX remake like SA1 did.

Nice review. I bought this game for my PS3 about a year ago and since then, I never thought it was as bad as it's often considered to be. But I wouldn't say it's a great game either.

Sonic '06 is TERRIBLY underrated.

IMO it's one of the best 3D Sonic games.

@Sawtje2 The Ball Puzzle can get annoying, and it's really hard! And it kind of reminds me of Desert Golf.
