Great Video. I have been with the Lord Christ for a while now, the other day i fell and committed sin. I was scared that i had messed up for good. Now i know surely that as long as i am willing to repent, God is willing to forgive. I truely thank whoever posted this video. May God keep you faith strong always.
Some things are unforgivable. Any doctrine that claims a serial killer can simply say "I believe some other guy will take my punishment" and 'all's forgiven' is not moral or just, it's twisted.
after seeing this video, i cried hard. for all the burden i carried from those people who hurt me and make stories behind me. Lord forgive them, for they do not know what they do. Amen.
Regardless I shant go any farther, I leave it to you to construct your perception of reality be it through religion or not, just don't hesitate to look further and study the alternatives along the way and apply logic and reasoning to find the best solution.
I can't fault the way in which you wish to live your life, and the more metaphorical concept of all that exists before us.

@Vessoland God will only forgive you if you have the intention to not do that particular sin again. He is not mocked. It is 100% true that God will forgive even the vilest of sinners and the worst of all man. However, He will forgive only if you are willing to not do that sin again and ask for His grace to help. We may fall, but He will forgive if we say ''Lord I want to get back up and try again''. We are human, so there is forgiveness. But we cannot take advantage as God sees our intentions
@Vessoland And also the way we can resist sinning is by the GRACE OF GOD. As human beings we will never be able to stop if we rely on ourselves. Only God can help. So ask HIM to give you the GRACE to stop sinning. It is only by HIS Mercy and Grace that we may be able to resist sin. May God help you with this(ASK HIM TO), and hopefully one day you and I may be able to walk into the gates of Heaven, after having walked the narrow path. Jesus bless you, my friend.

@Vessoland Well if you do it that way, you might be more likely to go to hell. cause you don't know when you can die. Could be the next time you walk on the street. Or when you sneeze, cause sneezing can result in death. God might take you by surprise. And you need to produce works to show you have repented. Repenting before you die would mean you would have none of those works. Please think carefully before you try to outsmart God. He's infinitely smarter than you and knows your 'plan'.
Exactly, he'll ensure that you go to a place where you endure unyielding pain and suffering for eternity if you don't follow the path, so choose carefully, are you with him or not?
He's a swell guy, just don't get on his bad side or he shall enact his vengeance upon you.
Honestly, he's a loving guy and everyone is equal in his eyes. Some are just more equal than others.
As human beings with empathy, sympathy, logic and reasoning we lack a moral compass without him.

Surely we can base our understanding of morals using reason and understanding.
Perhaps to a child, the simpler solution is punish them when they wrong others with timeouts or reward good moral decisions, but people need not be ignorant, and can be raised to treat others how they wish to be treated by educating the importantance of coexistence, sympathy, empathy without overemphasis on repurcussions, by accepting that we are responsible for our actions, not some external force.
@AlfTheTroll Well, we can talk about Christ as a moral compass, but in all reality we need Christ because he is the only sacrifice that can erase our sins. We are not saved(i.e. go to heaven) by doing good works. We are saved through a life of obedience to Christ's commandments and asking him to wash away our sins and not going back to the same sin over and over again. In short, if we don't have a relationship with the owner of the house, we can't expect to stay in it.
I can see the need for religion in a more primitive society, with its suppression of violence, a mediator of the societal and personal, the public and the private, conflicts between Eros and Thanatos, the forces of life and death and how it sprung about when we lacked tangible theories to explain the forces of nature and human conflict.
Essentially some early manifestation of mans survival instinct. Personally I don't see why there is any less reason to love and help others, to contribute to society without religion or some reward after we die.

God is putting my mother through horrible agonizing pain at this very moment. She's in the hospital, and I have no way of contacting her right now. She had seizures, and she was going through massive, massive pain through her legs and chest. She screamed about how bad the pain was/is, and she talked about killing herself to escape the pain. If god exists, he is really the devil, and he is a cruel, cruel bastard.

Would a loving and forgiving god send people to hell for a sin they did not commit? I am supposed to apologize for a sin Adam and Eve did long before I was born. I am supposed to apologize for my emotions? I sin because I cannot see the invisible and hear him who refuses to answer me? Im not sure I agree with your definition of loving and forgiving.
Its quite difficult to communicate with a being that does not answer when you talk to it. Most possibly because it doesnt even exist.
I do however wonder how people can worship a being with such a personality and morality, and I will debate it. There is a quite good chance people are waiting their lives worshiping an evil immoral fictional tyrant. I just think thats a shame.
Well.... If you talk to Him and he does not answer you, I guess you have to talk to other people about it until you come to whatever conclusion, unless its just about fighting or trying to ironically save people who believe.

The versions of God I have heard of so far may not be great, but somebody may have a good concept, and of course some may know of a God that is true. I just wanted to express my emotion about the Biblical God, who I believe we can get rid of right away.
