  • What a beautiful song, voices so so good and magical harmonies of the young Beach Boys.

The magic of those days have been lost for all time.

  • I was a Beatmaniac in the early 60s but never turned my back on the Beach Boys. Rememer when we boomers were kids we listened to our radios CONSTANTLY so we never had to CHOOSE between any of our favorites. We simply dug ALL the great music which we had to privilege to grow up with.

  • This song was also recorded by Ronnie Spector under the name 'Veronica' in 1964 on the Phil Spector label (not Philles). I think there are only a few releases on this rare offshoot label.

  • Love that drum sound, I know that he emulated Spector, but this mix is less busy than what PS would usually put out, and the punch those drums have as a result is phenomenal.

  • toward the end of the song, you can hear Dennis singing so clearly... "can't marry no, can't marry no"....

He used to blend very well until his voice was ruined by smoking and drugs.

    Miss you Dennis & Carl.

  • @Okiemom50 Agreed, Brian fried his brain.

  • @PaulBriden

I was referring to Dennis. However, they were both very self-destructive.

  • Some Beach Doo-Wop by the Beach Boys!!!

  • So Beautiful but The Students Did This Song but never recorded it! so the Beach Boys did it and this is so happy and i cant find it anywhere! LOVE THE SONG!

  • @CoolioRockstar actually the students did record this song. Its in the "The Doo Wop Box: 101 Vocal Group Gems From The Golden Age Of Rock 'N' Roll (Disc 3)"

  • I so loved this album, thought it was the ultimate Beach Boys record. Lots of cool harmonies and chord changes, right up there with their image on the cover.

  • @64bbfan I still have the original mono LP I bought second hand in a record shop sometime during the late 70's, this is my second favorite Beach Boys album next to Holland.

  • @G8GT364CI

Holland is definitely one of favorites too! "We'll get your steamboat rolling" and they did.

  • Awesome!!! beautiful voices and harmony..they were def. better than the beatles!!!

  • The Beach Boys ARE DOO-WOP!

  • The Beachboys were certainly influenced by the Four Freshmen style harmonies but also by Doo -wop.This is a great example of the doo wop they loved.

  • beautiful, what a sound.

  • Beetles could NEVER touch this.

  • @Kramnosnits The Beatles can't even see this!

  • Awesome!! What an unbelievable sound. I love it.

  • Watch the beach boys vocals bury the needle in the red zone .
