@MrRambo1997 (i'm going assume that the mutation colours are blue and green) It all depends on genetics but most likely from memory Green is dominant over blue which is recessive if both the parent budgies are homozygous green then yes all of the offspring will be green but if they're heterozygous green then there's a chance some will be blue. I'm guessing it works for all of the colour mutations aswell.

I have raised budgies for many years and I can assure you this is far from a funny situation if you know about the sensitive nature of birds and their sensitivity to noise - they both have a very distinct stress reaction, i.e, rapid breating with the beak open in the yellow bird's case, and the other bird also was hypeventilating and pulling in his beak feathers as a protective reaction. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT A CRITICISM BUT GIVING VITAL INFO: that music stressed them out badly.

I have known my birds do this on a hot day without flying at all. They aren't stressed. If they were they would fly off. Or did you forget that budgies have wings. The gasping you speak about is where the bird keeps its entire body low and is truly Gasping very hard. I know because i have also had this... problem?
