Quebec only lost the Nordiques because of politics and the economic climate of the time, if this new rink gets built in the oldest city in north America a team will be back. Winnipeg believed and they got their team, Quebec is next and you won't hear too many complaints.
Wow...I support the return of hockey to Quebec city but putting that video of Canada winning on a screen smack dab in the middle of Time Square is rather douchey.
@kantnockdahustle89 They didn't show America losing, dumbass. WE showed Canada winning out of respect and to welcome our Quebec neighbors, showing them no hard feelings. Hockey to them is like football to most Americans....
@BARCACROSSESTHEALPS Showing Canada win the gold instead of showing classic Nordiques footage just didnt make as much sense. The Nordiques were a great team before they moved and could have won the cup if they had stayed.
If for some reason the Thrashers had a rally they whouldnt show US winning the juniors, they would show old Thrashers footage of Kovalchuk and Kozlov. Something related to the cause...
@NinjasInTiedye It had to be in HD? You can mix HD and SD... How do they show old SD footage on HD channels then? Its not hard. Just use the pillars on the side or you can even blow it up to fit the screen. Think about it...
