I never honestly knew that her voice was this strong - the song that she is most known for "I've Told Every Little Star" does not truly reveal the strength of her singing - of course, that was a few years prior to this, so I guess she improved. Thanks for sharing, I would like to find out if some of her songs are on CD ~
The Eurovision winning song from 1964. If you want to listen to the real deal, try Gigliola Cinquetti's "Non ho l'eta". Italian is soooooo much prettier than English.
been looking for an instrumental song I used to hear in an AM station back in the early 70s. I think this is it. But what I remember is only piano playing and it is the station ID of that station. Do you happen to know what AM radio station is that? I really have strong memories of my early childhood listening to that AM station....it makes me somehow warm just thinking about it.
A big fan of Linda since her start. I was with AFRTS in 1961, and while we didn't get her hits on our transcriptions, my folks sent me a tape of KRLA that had "...Star" on it. I wrote her a fan letter and received a very nice and personal reply from her. A very classy lady!!!

Not only is this a superb song, sung by a great performer, but the notes on that piano, especially in the last couple of bars is what makes this such a good rendition of this song.
I've been looking for this song for such a long time. Yes, it was a giant hit in the Phil and I remember listening to this song on the radio. Thanks so much for the upload!

@gazunt The Ray Charles Singers recorded this song in the late 60s. It is an orchestra backed choir singing this song. Dunno if that helped any.

What a superbly produced song and sung by one of the most under-rated singers ever. This is just beautiful to listen to.

Lovely voice!! Really can't understand why she didn't become famous and had disappeared from the scene after the mid-1960s.

From which record or album is this from? I have never heard this song sung by Linda Scott before.

@ILoveJenni47 This is a Beautiful production and truly suits her voice.
It gives her plenty of room to move and do her thing. ... and no heavy drum.
You can hear her lovely voice crystal clear, AND the key suits her for this level of support sound.
The instruments are in the background, not in the fore.
Beautiful production done with taste.

I am thinking of a big hit song they use to play back on WMGM radio back in around 1960. It was her big hit. Maybe I am off by a year or 2.
