Cant say those are just from Denmark, mostly from the whole Nordic countries. And salmiakki doesnt contain liquorice at all, its ammonium chloride. Fazer is purely Finnish brand.

I Emmy! I'm Cinzia from Italy. When also have a good production of liquorice in Italy expecially in the south (we produce a liquorice-based drink) and I really love it. I lived in Denmark for almost a year and I remeber how much I was impressed of the salty liquorice but at the end I liked it and now I really miss it! ;-)

"Salty licorice" is a slightly misleading term, since most people don't think of anything but table salt (sodium chloride) when they hear "salt". Ammonium chloride is a salt but isn't the same. '
