  • I have a question about fondant. I am making my son a "1st Birthday" cake. Can you stick the fondant balls and decorations on the buttercream right away after you shape them...OR do you wait for them to dry overnight than stick them on?? (I'm not talkign about laying the fondant ove rteh cakes, I know you do that right away) But for the polka dots and stripes and all that...do you do it right away or let it dry overnight?

    Thanks!

  • Hi there, u can glue them on right away...just use a bit of water....

  • You hope we like it?? I LOVE it! If it was made for me I would've thought it's too beautiful to be eaten! Good work keep it up!

  • That is a beautiful cake. I have always wanted to learn how to use fondant to make a cake. Thank you for the reference. Hope your lil girl enjoyed it.

  • your poodle is way cuter than the one on the plate!

  • How do you get the spots, like the dots and the stripes to stay on? i know you use icing for the base fondant, but what do you use to put more fondant, on top of fondant?

  • HI, what a BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL CAKE! I usually makes my son's b-day cakes, but this year I want to try the fondant. Can you please tell me a good recipe for making the cake? Do you make it from scratch? And what about the icing. Are these tings I can just use from a box/can or do you not reccomend that?

    Thanks so much!

    Julie
