Our group took down supplies for the clinic that is going to be started. Parents and older teens have begun making items to sell in the small store at the school. 9 students will be graduating from high school this year. All 9 students hope to go to college. In a country where only 3% of students graduate from high school, this is huge! 4 scholarships have been donated so far and we are working on the rest.
My husband & I returned from Honduras yesterday. It was amazing to see the changes in many of the children since I was there last year. We were even blessed to be a part of building a home for a family of two girls at the school. This school and the other programs associated with AFE are bringing so much hope to this dump community in Honduras. Thank you for your prayers and support!

when we complain about our lot we should stop to think about these poor little children who have nothing. How wonderful that such vision and hard work done by Jeony and his helpers is making a change for these beautiful children. It makes me cry when I consider all my grandchildren have and I could picture their faces in place of those on the dump. Let us thank God for all we have and then pray to see how we can help those much worse off than ourselves.
I agree 100%. Jeony is an inspiration to me and may God continue to keep this man and his family safe. We have so much to be thankful for. Appreciate you writing.
I have been shooting a documentary outside of Puerto Vallarta on the kids and Families that live in and around the city trash dump. I wish you well and i hope that these people get the opportunities that they deserve.
Jeony, you and your family are doing God's work. It was a privilege to work with you. I'll continue to pray for you and can't wait to come back to see what the Lord is doing through you and the AFE school.
Thank you so much for the video post. My wife and I have been there twice and helped on both buildings. We really have a special place in our heart for Jeony and his family, but especially for the children of the AFE project. I hope all who see the video will get involved and help those in need.
My nursing school worked with Johnny last year for the first time (I think they're going back this year too.) He's an amazing person and the work he does is unbelievable. I was so impressed with what they've done there. Talking to the people in the dump was an eye-opening experience. This video allows me to share my experience there with more people!
