I give 5 stars for this documentary. Keep up to another actors/actress like Dharmendra, Jeetendra , Shashi Kapoor ,Mumtaz, Sharmila Tagore, Waheeda Rehman, Nanda , Mala Sinha ,Hema Malini , Saira Banu and a great hindi film dancer Helen.
Thank you so much for this!! I can remember watching it as an 8 year old back in 1982 and i always wondered what happened to it, as the bbc were known for wiping their tapes after a while to save money!
I'm so glad this has finally been posted!!!! I've been looking for this for years!! I thought I would never be able to see it! Oh and no matter how late Rajesh Khanna was or what ever else he does he will always be the greatest super star!
Thanks for the comments, always glad to receive them.
Yes, I also feel very sorry for how the current film fraternity is treating him. I wish more big banners like Yash Chopra or Subash Ghai would have the guts to come forward & offer him some decent roles.
At his peak Rajesh Khanna was 'simply the best' ...
First of all, thank you so much for posting this. In 1970s, India was really a "third world" country (though personally I have never liked that phrase). I am even surprized that BBC chose to make such a documentary. This is a great historical document.
As far as Rajesh Khanna is concerned, he was truly a legend but failed to capitalize on the great start he had and the charisma he was gifted by God.
Feel sorry for Kaka and also admire Amitabh for the same reasons But that's life !!!
Probably westners can't understand the impotance of song and dance.. But for Indians songs and dance is the way to celebrate and also a way to reach god... Infact Indian God "Shiva" can be seen in dancing pose. When you sing or dance with heart, you will be definitely close to god... Singing and Dancing can purify your soul and definitely Logic cannot ever, though it can laugh at it.
Rajesh Khanna, the First and the Original Superstar of the Hindi Screen. Girls used to swoon in blood at the mere mention of his name. Parents used to bring their toddlers to his sets, for he was an ideal to everyone. Mothers wanted their sons to be like Rajesh Khanna, girls wanted their ideal in him, and friends wanted him too. No doubt B Big has greatly performed in Baaghbaan but Kakji would have done it better too, for he is the King of Emotions.
Thanks so much for this rare gem. It's awesome. Wonderful to see Kaka in his prime. Unbelievable to think that he was just 30 when this was filmed! You rock for sharing this :-)
From the time I started surfing the net I had tried everything to get my hands on this legendary documentary, but never succeded. You have bought to life that phrase of Kaka which had vanished since ages. Thanks a lot-Mustafa
Great job Asli Jat as usual.Three years back when I used to visit you tube I would try hard searching for this great legendary documentary.Somehow all my efforts were in vain. You have fulfilled an unbelievable wish of my life. You have truly accomplished an unbbelievable feet. Thanks a lot.Mustafa

Hi Pavitra66,
Actually I disagree about giving Rajesh Khanna (or anybody for that matter) some decent roles by big banners.
They don't have to come forward. One has to command it.
