@JackLivesTogether I totally agree! Eric's is not perfect, he was a human and now's a vampire; neither species is after all. However, I don't really think his faults are "unforgivable or painful". He chained Lafayette and tortured him (others would have done much worse and he was doing something illegal), Sookie walked into a trap because of Godric (Eric offered himself to die, and Godric could have saved her and he knew that), he "sold" her to Russell (he did that to save her life)
