The FCC needs to fine this show. their spark gap transmitter was illegal to operate for any reason other than an emergency.  Since that was not a real emergency, it was not legal.

Spark gap transmitters, especially very simple ones like this, are extremely dirty transmitters and cause wide blankets of noise. 1. he is not following part 15 rules, he is far above the maximum rated power allowed by any part 15 device, and spark gap is banned on all amateur radio bands in the world by all governing bodies. There is no way to legally operate such a device. NONE!
