Never had much luck with manufactured baits on the river. I caught a few channel cats with em once at Meldahl, I go fresh or go home anymore.

Might have to give this stuff a go sometime.

I use thread or bait mesh. I buy the thread at walmart and you can buy the bait mesh at Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops stores or websites.
