@oofooh Well, I ride my 36er regularly, and have only a regular, non-geared hub. I don't have any interest in adding a shlumpf to that, and going any faster, lol.
@shugemery I'm going to start riding me good 'ol fat-tired 24 again! I want to do some high flyin' stuff while I still can...but I don't know. haven't tried it in a while. Just can't do that stuff on the GMuni, which keeps me pretty much land-locked! :^)
@t4200blaster Really depends on rider weight, type of tire and other factors. In general, you want to have anough psi so the tire won't bottom out on the rim when you hop or do drops, and not so much that the tire won't compress. I go by feel and never look at my psi. It's like shoes-if they fit, that's all that matters. :)
@t4200blaster A lot! The hub alone, uninstalled, is about $1.750. The you need a rim, spokes and all the rest and a good wheel builder who KNOWS how to lace up a schlumpf hub.
thumbs up if you'd crash at 0:16

For touring or commuting on a 36, would YOU recommend getting a Schlumpf hub? In other words, if it was YOU, would you get one for your 36?
