3:20 - Matthew Bannister was spot on. If Bannister's brief was to chase audiences, then yes, it would deserve to be privatised. To maximise audience at all cost is what a commercial station should be quite rightly doing.

With Global taking their Capital FM brand national, Radio 1 has to step up and take risks. Capital's Ashley Tabor has every right to maximise audience for his next penthouse apartment. Andy Parfitt doesn't however; he's running a publicly-funded organisation.

top doco ,wasnt jo whiley sexy(and she still is) then but now we have moyles who must have dragged radio 1 back,he is the saviour.i still listen via the internet moyles,wogan and steve wright as we have crap on oz tv and radio and when i visit the uk they are always on my car radio
