ok . . . leave the dude alone . . . yes the clip is somewhat dorky, he's too young to know it . . . at that age he's just filled with the pleasure of life. dude, i'm gonna give you some pointers. this might run into more than one comment. so read from the bottom *up*.
first, congrats on being interested in keeping your body in shape in the first place. that's the most important thing. it really is. everything else is a detail. details can be learned. motivation is just something you
being limited on space, i'm just gonna correct what needs correcting. if u want more details, email evolved@bell.net . be confident that comments come from a couple decades experience.
IN GENERAL: muscles don't grow because you lift weights. muscles grow as a protective mechanism against you damaging them when you do lift weights. this means you need to hurt the muscle when you work it . . . it will then repair itself and *add a bit more* to protect itself in case you try that
again. that's how your body thinks. your whole body is geared toward survival . . . not toward looking good. it doesn't grow because you want it to . . . it grows if you stress it the right way.
this is why the main flaw in your entire clip, regardless of which bodypart, is your idea of rep count. do as many as you can . . . yes . . . but you need to challenge the muscle by continually increasing the weight. keep your rep ranges around 8. whatever you're working, choose the weight that
allows you to do 8 reps, such that you're really straining to squeeze out the last rep or two. you'll be a lot sorer in that muscle than you're used to . . . give the muscle a few days to recuperate and BUILD. you'll get a feel for when the time is right. if you're steroid-free, which i damn well know you are, you'll need 4-6 days.
once you're able to squeeze out 10 reps with that weight, you need to increase the weight a bit. this is where your thinking is most flawed, btw. because once
a muscle can handle a weight, you have to challenge it a bit further to keep inducing growth. do this by upping the weight a bit. and so on. never forget: heavy weights build muscles.
took all that space to make that point because it's the foundation of it all. last thing now is i'll give you some quick pointers on the specific bodyparts you mentioned in your clip. this'll go much faster.
ARMS: main advantage is not so you can lift heavy things. arms act as stabilizers . . . the real
movers of heavy weights in your body are your LEG and BACK muscles, not your arms. also, while you named "triceps", you didn't provide any exercise(s) that directly target them. your forearm exercise is rather . . . uh . . . unique (if you came to my gym and did that you'd be carried out and deposited on the sidewalk), but no real problem other than you're using a hell of a lot of muscles to do that other than your forearms, so its main drawback is its failure to isolate the muscle you
want. and finally the rep count thing, which goes back to the FOUNDATION i explained at the beginning.
CHEST: good on the pushups, even good on the flyes, but if you want to isolate the chest more, try holding the dumbbells with your palms facing out in front of you, instead of turned in toward each other. this'll take your biceps out of the movement, and you'll be surprised how much harder it is, especially when you're in the stretch part of the movement (when your arms are down . . . DON'T
let them touch the floor . . . if u gotta lower the weight to accomplish that, so be it).
LATS: they're not really in the "middle" of your back where you're pointing, they're more off to the sides. well-developed lats is what gives a guy's back a "V" shape. yes, you can build them with those pullups, but only if you know how to keep your arms out of the movement and pull with your back, which is one of the toughest things for beginners, as they haven't yet developed the mind-muscle link
"CORE", by which i take it you mean "abs". same as any other muscle . . . they grow by gradually increasing the resistance, not necessarily by doing thousands upon thousands of reps. but because all those fucked up ab-machine infomercials have got the entire population brainwashed when it comes to abs, i'm gonna leave this one alone for now. just know your abs are a muscle and will grow (or not grow) for the same reason as your other muscles.
sorry kid but reverse curls are for the back of the forearms not the triceps, and as far as the forearm workout you didn, its good but you gotta be careful you can injur your wrist. I've been lifing for several years now and am not trying to put you down for it, just give you some help man, but good ur trying to keep in shape.
...well i admit you will stregthen your muscles slightly but there are MUCH more effective methods even without excercise equipment...and thats not the best way to do push ups lol.. and you'll find if you unlock your arm whiles doing pull ups.. the excercise will become a ton more effective..otherwise great video very funny lol
thats hilarious, but you do know JDK stands for Java Development Kit. Though you did say that it stood John something Koby....oh well nice vids good for a laugh every now and then
