  • shark should replace johnny miller to commentate on coverages

  • I can't believe some of these comments. "Maybe this swing is the cause of his knee problems". Are you kidding me? He garnered the injuries with his old swings not the new one. "Greg Norman was the best putter ever". If Norman was 70% of the putter that Tiger was in his prime Norman would have won the 3-4 majors he blew. Tiger Woods in his prime was the best putter the game has ever seen, the stats prove it. Tiger's new swing hasn't worked out well but its his poor putting that has held him back

  • @jgingeri skateboarding injured his knee, not golf. golf just aggravated an old injury. i had the same injury caused by the same thing (my right knee, however) and it flares up every now and then from random seemingly everyday activities. very frustrating.

you make a good point about tiger and scoring. i don't consider his swing to be the reason he has won so many times, either.

  • Can't argue with Greg, also I think Norman was the best putter in the world ... maybe the Shark should set up a pro coaching school ??

  • Kim Kardashian stole Tiger from me, oh god what am I gonna do!?!

I've got a nasty little mulatto girl that belongs to Tiger and he wont help me.

Tiger said he's take our ugly little gook/negra to Dairy Queen and bring me back some slop from the dumpster, but he didn't show up. I'm hungry ya'll!

    WILL suck schlongs for food.

  • the restriction in his swing is from his wearing a chastity belt: which restricts anyone

    but finally at

    least woods is learning

  • talking behind tigers back hehe

  • norman is a idiot. Muirfield years ago he totally blanked a six year old kid asking for a autograph. not only did he blank him he told him cant you see I'm busy carrying my golf shoes I told him then he was a asshole and he did not have the courage to come back to me.By the way the six year old was not related to me in anyway. Shame on norman

  • @jkelly1701 shame but hes always got the best shoes on tour

  • agreed. the restriction in his swing is probably also the source of his knee problems.

  • The reason shawn is getting tiger to tighten his swing is because he wants him to hit more fairways thats his goal..

  • This guy is right on. Tiger's got knee issues, not torso issues. He can swing athletically and still keep the left knee flexed. Hogan had bum knees when he was 70 and could still hit pure shots all day. Regarding the other confusion, he's talking about a lateral release towards the target, not "keep the club on the target line". That's a youtuber straw-man argument. Of course the club has to physically move to the left. No one is arguing that.

  • And before anyone asks for proof here you go!! (notice just past impact the hand and arms swing to the LEFT, while the club stays RIGHT)

Hogan (good angle, hand LEFT, club RIGHT of hands) - watch?v=G4DCZuAj5Mg

    Scott McCarron - watch?v=uUfuYFg2eu4

    Garcia (less so) - watch?v=nMawJWLnlLM

Compare to the position of the arms and club just past impact:

Ernie Els (arms/hands straight down line) - watch?v=CoyLXbpt06w

    Tiger 2000 - watch?v=iKYIkUBeYrU

Stop Tiger bashing!! Tho his putting is shite lol

  • Enlightened coaches would disagree completely with this. Swinging the club how Greg describes (ie. 'straight away from the target, straight down the target') is exactly what Tiger is trying to get away from!!

To be clearer: if the club goes 'toe up-impact-toe up' through impact, there is a lot of rotation through impact.

Look at Hogan/Garcia/McCarron just past impact their arms and hands exit to the LEFT, while the club is to the RIGHT of the hands. This means less rotation & reliability!

  • Norman is correct.

  • 331 weeks at number 1, i think his opinion has merit..

  • I saw this live and agreed with Greg wholeheartedly. As valid as some of the things Sean and Tiger are working on are, I didn't see the necessity to go from one side of the spectrum in philosophies to the other. Like Palmer said, if Tiger just picked up a club and swung it, it would be a damn good/athletic move. Why buy into a style then when it stops working go the complete opposite? I saw Tiger at Pebble and he looked damn good. That said, things seemed to be coming together at augusta

  • what is he talking about? haha

  • Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. If Tiger Woods decided he would be better suited by swinging the club left handed while standing on his head, he would find a way to win Major championships doing it. No duh, Greg. Tiger looks 'unathletic' and restricted. That's because Tiger has the guts to commit to and execute new swing mechanics while competing at the highest level. I think we saw all week at The Masters a more fluid and confident swing; if not 'dialed in' completely. Look out this summer.

  • Greg Norman should stick to his vineyards and other business'. Embarrasing to listen to his lack of understanding of the modern golfswing. Tiger develops so much coil in his swing, he does not need to extend the right arm in the backswing to create speed in the downswing. Why cant these old farts just watch and not comment?
