This man lived a crazy life. His his book "Down these mean street" is the bible for all us PuertoRicans that grew up in NYC.

I read his book in my mid teens purely by accident, I don't know what compelled me to pick up the book in a public library and his story of growing up in the 40s and 50s in the Bronx was fascinating and intriguing.
