  • I'm thinking the part-prog was prepared by a cad/cam package. A human probably wouldn't do the ops in all thr wrong order so that the bar stock is in and out of the guide bush/collet dragging in all that swarf mucking up concentricity tolerances and, eventually, jamming up...

  • @floydy22...agreed i keep seeing these videos and want to know just how rigid it would be on 321 stainless or some hast-x or perhaps some incolnel 718?

  • How long would parts like this have taken before CNC ?

  • Now thats precision but i'd like to see it turn Hastelloy or something. Or hardened steel like IN/A

  • That is an absolutely awesome piece of machinery!

  • this is demo;I want to see this same thing in steel with cooling. What kind of control is this?

  • Very nice, but I would like to see this part made in steel. How bout 4140 or something. Even little hobby machines turn brass easily.

  • Does no one there notice that the tools touch the chucks at 2:23 and 2:38? Should check that program...

  • now try that on stainless!

  • the amount it cuts and the coil it shoots off at 2:36 is awesome.

  • How much does one like that one cost?

  • I love when the sub spindle comes over to get the part for it's second operation.

Wish I had the need and money to buy one just because they're cool.

  • Sheet, it's a very crazy

  • Yes, and very very interesting! =)

  • Viel zu langsam...!

  • man and I remember when the bridge port use to be something

  • Muito foda,

  • I CAN DO THAT!

  • they need to use tapping oil , you open the door and put some on it then press your green button . i'm an expert machinist i do it manually most of the stuff . If you could do this part manually then you're a good machinist.

  • this is a demo though mate, on a real job yes you do need a lubricant, but it would obscure the view

  • You're not tooting your own whistle or anything, though, right?

    So humble.

  • that was an amazing demo, i love this machine..

  • I like how the collet can retract the bar while still spinning.

  • spent four years training in a machine shop in Ireland. bored out of my tree spinning the same parts day after day for ok money. jumped ship and started doing maintenance instead. Hell of a lot more interesting and the money is a dam site better

  • I think I might get into computer networking after I finish this CNC program, its good money in the U.S. with just a certificate you could start making $30,000 a year but its to much repeative work. I also have an interest in computer networking

  • would be interested to see what it can do with platinum. can it hold tolerances of +-.0001 inch, tir .0002inch, knurl, stamp? what kind of coolant does it use? how many tool positions? how many live tools? rpms on the spindle? rpms on live tooling? total torque on each? total axii?

  • That tap sounded horrible...

  • bras always squeeks lol

  • brass sorry

    lmao!

  • That's normal with this material. It's metal and does not have any IRON in it

This sound will not be heard when you cut a thread with a tap in metal. I know this by experience. I had to do this only was the machine not CNC but Conventional.

  • Im starting a 5 month CNC training I hope I get a good paying job from this.

  • m8, im doin a 4 yr aprenticeship, to get to the good pay, u gta do a long serving trainin thing... if u live in england anyway

  • If you dont mind me asking, how much do you make right now?

  • in aus if you want a good suburbs job, working 8-4 then your looking at about 70,000 gross, but if you work at the mines you will be getting payed about 150-200,000. No1 will hire you with only CNC experience, you have to have manual experience and a Mechanical Engineering qualification.

  • im only 4.90 an hour at mo, sorry only just relised u comented back... im in my third year... you get raped in england 4 bein an aprentice, i was on 1.75 an hour 4 my frst yr.... minimum wage is 4.60 but if your in apprentisceship you dont get a minimum wage until your 19. its shit... but like i say, when im qualified ill b on anything from £8-24 an hour... so is worth it.. i dont know what ist is in dollars etc

  • nice im on a 5 year apprenticeship hear in australia. but im doing a school based where i do 2 weeks at work 2 weeks at school to recieve a grade 12 pass aswell

  • it is slow, but it takes the cuts

  • pretty cool!

    =)

  • A very slow machine

  • really fantastic Cubic machinery are good to the bones

  • dobre dobre

  • %that's really cool, but how the hell can you use that thread when both ends are blocked by those outer diameters?!%

  • The threading tool is lifted between outer diameters and threads between them. The tool is never blocked.

  • @CubicMachinery hes saying whats the point of threads that you cant use, but i understand this is just demonstrating what it could do

  • I think this video is just showing off what the machine is capable of rather than making a sellable product.

  • @gredangeo Its not a usable thread, just a show peace.

  • very cool machine. I run a 3 axis lathe old school ,to this machine wow!!

  • dat wud take us like an hour 2 do dat at my place,lol....

  • Geezus, that is amazing!

  • neat!
