  • I had one of these back in '86 as a tike. Good ole days.

  • DRUM MACHINE PARTS FOR SALE: YAMAHA RX15 / AKAI S20 / BOSS DR202 + MANY MORE - FOR SALE - GREAT FOR CIRCUIT BENT PROJECTS. SEND MESSAGE FOR INFO:

  • BANANA!

  • talking computron.

biffsgamingvideos reviews pong and classic systems, games and such. Nterviews with programmers and a lot more.

  • I had a similar computer but I dont think it talked. it did spelling. math and other stuff. I cant remember the name of it but it was definitely a toy computer from the 80s. anyone remember what it was called? its light brown and it was a one piece unit with a speaker near the screen and the screen was a red LED Text display.

  • The voice sounds like a vintage 1986 grandstand major muinor keyboard. Did this come out the same year?

  • I still have mine too and the original box is still being used to house Christmas tree balls from the early 80s. I remember laughing at how it pronounced the word "biscuit." I'm not sure why.

  • omg- i have one of those!

I've had it since i was little. I am soo gonna find it in our attic! I use to play hang man on that thing all the time!

  • I just found this thing in a Philadelphia local thrift store, in box and everything. It's actually a Sears product. Mine came with all these different readalong books and expansion cartridges with more words for it to say, as well.

  • its just "a talking computron" haha. theres no markings of a manufacturer. i stumbled upon it randomly one day at a thrift store.

  • This is a talking computron from Sears.

For the longest time I had the original packaging/carts for it.

    ENTER THE NYUMBER.

  • I had one of these as a child. It was eventually regifted to my cousins when we got an actual computer and not just a rebranded speak&spell. I had no idea where my parents got it from. Folks here claim it's from sears, I've seen websites claim vtech made it. No idea, myself. On a sidenote, text to speech really hasn't gotten any better from this moment on. The most advanced systems today still sound like a semi-concussed norwegian is reading your text.

  • @Mistraker The box says Sears and Robuck. I still have mine and I bought one off eBay a few years ago. I'll make a video to respond to this one. It has the original box and a few games.

  • @LeakFreak There is one on eBay right now for $6.99. Just put this item # into the search bar while on eBay, 320545302570.

  • @Mistraker I had the VTech version of this, it was known as the Talking Lesson One, the one I had I believe was made in Hong Kong, but I believe later models were made in China.

  • @anrw8 They're made by Vtech, at least that's the case here in Australia, I had one once, it was a Vtech Talking Lesson One.

  • I really like the look of this machine... The screen looks real sci-fi, and sounds very vintage.

Is it a vtech, What's it called?

    ................:-))

  • thanks!

  • Cool, especially with the voice "glitch" and pitch bending. Good job!

  • i have no idea what's happening but cool haha
