To tell you the truth, I don't use it very much, so I wouldn't know. I don't ride a horse, but I imagine that the iGallop doesn't stretch your legs out as far.

This isn't even close because you're right, you don't have your legs as stretched out, and you're not gripping with them as your horse tears through the pasture :) Now THAT'S fun!!!! Besides that, the motion isn't even remotely close to anything that will work your abs, all that makes you do is pretty much the motion you'd have while walking the horse. A posting trot would really work your abs, maybe a canter if you were sitting back.
