  • hot air rises, hot on bottom cool at top blows out from bottom sucks in from top, that means in minutes it will be sucking it the same hot air over and over... then inevitably burn out.

  • Yeah right, The looks alone would make it really fast...LMAO! Dell must be at the brink of suicide with all the failures that his company is making these days.

  • My boyfriend has one, he braggs that he has the best computer in the state (:

  • @Sup3rJami3 I beg to differ. I have two cpu rig, twelve logical and twelve virtual cores (Sums up to 24 total cores). Four GTX 590 muthafuckin graphic cards can make your boyfriend shit in his pants.

  • I still think the XPS700-720 looks better than the XPS730. At the time I think Dell was hoping the BTX form factor would truly replace the ATX standard. However Intel decided to pull it's support for BTX (due to lack of adoption by manufacturers) and it never took off. The XPS720 BTX board is still the most powerful BTX board you can get. Airflow inside the XPS720 was very good because of the BTX board, everything was laid out horizontally and it meant nothing got in the way of the airflow.

  • thats one of the most ugliest PCs out there!

although the aerodynamic "design" probably will improve speed and destruction when you throw it out of the window

  • Dell

    Dont

    Expect

    Long

    Life

anything dell puts out is over priced and garb

  • LMFAO yeah right

  • This sales pitch totaly sucks. I am never gonna buy Dell now dats for sure. I'd rather buy Cooler Master and overclock it.

  • OK. if this computers are so good, why why they had to replace the mobos of the XPS 700 and they din't tell me about it now I have a top of the line computer with a BTX mobo. do your self a favor don't buy anything from DELL. If you want a good gaming pc build your own .

  • "if ur keeping it under the desk". yeah, right. if i had a computer that looked that good i'd show it off.

  • hmmm looks like a pos to me

  • idk why u guys are crappin on dell, but the xps series are one of the top computers

dell is famous for crap computers, but those are just the cheap ones, which they advertise a lot for some reason, but the xps series are really good. you should check them out. their different than the cheap ones you find everywhere else. dell has really bad computers, and really good computers. they lead in bad computers and good computers.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhh this guy has no idea wat he talking about ok if ur a game r dont matter wat brand ask any gamer wat they would rather have and they would say a system built buy them!!!

  • "Bla bla bla bla bla" he said, "and Dell XPS are shit!" Thats the description I heard!

  • I'm a IDesigner, this is the WORST sells pitch i have EVER heard.

    Dell SUCKS

  • XPS Is a reallygood computer just when you upgrade the RAM to 2 GB then Make is 3.2GHz

it will probably run anygame you want it to

but i prefer windows vista and i spent £800 and itsreally good.

it runs all programmes that windows xp does and it runs most games

  • Dell has bought out Alienware...anxious to see where they go with the 2

  • Dell has always owned alienware

  • No they haven't. Only fairly recently did they buy them.

  • he says it's kinda of a cool product emmmmm okk don't he really mean it's a cool product not kinda so means it's not that great really confused

  • I always build my own PCs. I don't have to be rich, but I sure can make a kick-butt monster for a lot less than this! I just like customizing my own stuff without limitations.

  • Build or get someone to build you a pc cause I can make one much better for less your paying for the name with mainstream companies.

  • im bying this bitch

    4g's

    8600gtx

and im not rich let me tell you

  • i wish i was rich too :)

  • I have an Alien Aurora w 64 x2 4800's and a XPS 700 w the extreme 6800's. The Dell is a much better machine. Your right if you can build one yourself it is a lot cheaper. Both were over $5,500 just for the box. But I can't. Dell has announced they will replace the motherboards on the XPS late in 2007....build your own and your on your own.

  • ill stick with my Alienware auroa

  • yah those things are wastes of money. i spent 3k building my computer and it's way better then those cheap investments.

  • Im sorry...

    but dells are cheaply made...

dells are for people that cant build thier own pc!

    mwahahahahaha!!!

  • i what 1 like i need like 12k lol

  • Actually with all the best upgrade it only cost around 8,000

  • Doesn't look anything like an Apple. Doesn't look that good, either.

And I'm unimpressed with the interior design. It was just big. Lots of airflow, sure, but it's not particularly clever or well designed, just spacious.

  • Oh, please, Jawajoey. Looks are a state of mind. I personally think the mac pro looks like a bunch of cheapshit parts thrown into a case that feigns an industrial design. I find the outer looks of macs to be their LEAST imaginative characteristics. They look mass-produced, and that ain't pretty to a hardcore builder like myself. ;)

By the way, if you say that the cooling system in this machine is not cleverly designed, you have no idea how it works. Have you seen Dell's H2C cooling systems?

  • Apple had to redesign all their components, and had spent much more effort to create more interior features. This dell trash is a bunch of standard components thrown into a fancy case, while macpro not only has a new case, its got slide-in hard drive bays like real servers w/ hot swap HDDs, special mobo with slide-in memory module board.

  • Dells uses atx mobos (which are custom built by dell). Having an atx mobo means buying and upgrading with after market parts is easy.

Gamers don't need 32gb of ram on slide out trays, we need 50trillionGb of graphics memory and a 560000GHz 20core processor that can easily be upgraded, to bad that doesn't exist...

  • they use btx factors, i bought a barebone from ebay and modded it to fit atx factor board

  • why are they giving you a thumbs down? because they dont think it can be done? i have modded atc formafactor xps for sale 400 bucks

  • you should look at the computers instead of just being a fanboy and thinking the computers are just like the old ones they used to make

  • ITS A SERVER! besides the point that BeaverWalrus made, the mac pro has 667 mhz ram which by gaming standards is unaxeptable. we use 1022 and up. none of that 667 crap that u got. Hot swap hdds, y do u need that in a gaming computer? there are many other points but im busy right now because i have a life.

  • 'Cos it's made from Aluminium? You idiot.

  • Yeah you almost need a new pc to run obilivon and other such next gen games.

  • And yet the Lian-Li V1000 and V2000 still keep your system cooler than this, and they look better. It almost looks like two dog kennels stacked ontop of each other with LEDs on it.

  • Dell Xps 700.. commit suicide its so ugly the 600 looks so much better..but as long as it runs like how they say it does

  • I want one....badly.

  • Gee, we're not copying Apple's G5 here... Naw, no resemblance whatsoever...

  • LOL why does everyone say they are copying Apple G5 ... it looks nothing like a G5.

  • Also the chasis/design is very important. XPS700 is design like a jet engine, cool air goes through the vent and hot air goes out the back to maintain overheating.

  • Change that awful red, it sucks, honestly. White would be great I think ;)

Btw, isnt it HUGE....?? Mine is big, but not enormous ^^

  • I think it's more important to think about the internals of the system rather than what it looks like. By the way, the red is hideous.
