Ours was one of the a-frames affected, grew up skiing there every weekend so many memories! Stay strong we heard of some possible flash flooding near Rutland
Where did you hear "word" that VEMA or FEMA has ceased recovery efforts until spring? Who is this? Is this a joke? If so, it's not very funny. Not funny at all.
Word is Stockbridge will no longer have any recovery efforts proceeding, the VEMA or FEMA (one of em) has declared it a complete disaster area and has ceased recovery efforts until the spring. A few friends of mine had to hike in from Bethel to shore up their home, which was largely unaffected though the roads are completely gone.
Feeling lucky being in Randolph, I hope people can start finding some semblence of life again soon.
The A-Frames are mostly still there. Severe damage to a few nearest the river. Most if not all had flooding, some not too high. If one is yours, you should send someone in to clean and dry it, or call VT State police and ask them to get a message to the Stockbridge EOC to call or email you.
We have a home on Canton Street in Chalet Village, Stockbridge, VT. I can't get any info about whether or not it is still there. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can get more information. I live in MA and can't get anywhere near the home to assess the damage.

That is a crazy scene, do you know how the a-frames just north of Pittsfiled made out and if they are there? Thanks
