  • @waycooltoo So in your opinion Jesus can have only one name right? ...and that is your whole proof of contradiction in the Bible? ...even though it was a word that means "God with us" as a name and not a proper name on top of that?

    This is your proof right?

  • @JFMello1116 Hi and sorry I do not run my channel as an open forum as most expect on youtube.

My messages are typically far from the norm so I do not allow it the comments to drown out the message considering I'm already the minority to begin with. If folks want the opposing views, there are plenty on other videos. No offense intended.

You asked *what* I think the beast of Revelation is.

There are several but I know you mean the bad ones so I'll respond accordingly :)

    (continues...)

  • #1) "the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit "

    This beast is an angel.

    In Rev. 9

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit."

    verse 11 says,

"11 And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon."

angel/beast Rev. 11:7 "the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit "

  • #2 Revelation 13

"1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."

Literal or should we view this as a dream vision?

If literal the text is clear...

  • #3 Rev 13 again

"11 And I beheld ->another<- beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, (continues...)

  • #3 continued

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

    continues..

  • Notice the 3rd beast tells his worshipers to make an image but *he* has the power to to make it speak and live.

Keeping in mind the Dragon Satan, the serpent and devil all one in the same, but the 2nd beast "and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority." ...answers TO the devil/dragon so he cannot BE the devil.

Are these other beats Satan or just more of his minions?

This 3rd beast is probably the one you are referring to and maybe he's the same as the 1st and Satan too

  • ...BUT that would mean Abaddon / Apollyon, the king over the bottomless pit, called an angel IS Satan as well right?

I have more questions than answers :)

    ...

Rev 17:3 "So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. "

"7 the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

8 The beast that thou sawest ...shall ascend out of the bottomless pit..."

  • So there you have it, more questions and not many answers but a few dots connected anyway.

...but WHAT is the beast? Tough question to answer dogmatically.

I could speculate but all I know for sure is he is AN enemy perhaps THE enemy. Is he literally a huge monster with a buncha heads and all that? ...or figurative. Revelation is mixed with literal and figurative meanings kind of like Daniel in his dream vision interpretations.

    What do you think?

  • Augustine didn't believe in theistic evolution; he actually took it to the opposite extreme: that all creation was instantaneous. His point was that Genesis 1 was a presentation of things that matter in a way that we fallen creatures can understand. His contemporary Jerome said that in Genesis 1, God took the language of a poet to explain to us what we need to know. They and more before them have said that we may imagine the age of creation to be a prolonged period of time.

  • test

  • @flyingscience whatcha testing?

  • @quest380 There was no RE-creation so it did not exist before the creation. All of those theories are doctrines of man, and reason as you will, instead of seeking God's will and God's knowledge and reasoning, the words say what the words say.

Don't argue what makes sense to you. that is what lost people do, not followers of God's Word. It did not BECOME without form and void "2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep." Read it.

  • @tylermurch Not a bad argument, but it's incorrect based on Gen. 1.

The length of *One Day* is defined on the FIRST Day. "5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day."

So, when he said let there be light in VERSE 3(!) of Gen. 1 that most definitely was the sun.

Also all Green Grass, Green Herbs and Fruit Trees, are created the THIRD DAY!

So, your claim that the sun wasn't created until the FOURTH Day isn't true.

  • Nice post thanks

  • @daddyautomatic Much appreciated!

  • Another fantastic video Vud. Who is this guy you keep on posting. I like him. I agree with what he says. It would be great if him and Hovind could debate an atheist team. I think they would complement each other well. Too bad it couldn't happen.

  • @wildcats8530 Thanks. Put about 10 hours into it. LOL

Wonder when Hovind is he due to get out?

Yeah, that's too bad about the taxes thing.

As I understand it, Hovind was doing his employees at his Dino Park a favor by giving them 'missionary' stats on tax forms, which is actually fairly accurate, and yet he has to do hard time in prison.

    The speaker is George Gordon

He's a very wise 70 y/o man, but always double check the Scripture no matter how wise they are, of course.:)

  • @vudumojo Yeah unfortunately he is there. I think they had to shut him up somehow. There are way too many laws and by laws to get the american citizens anyway they can.

  • @wildcats8530 hmmn 2017 would be the maximum.

Just looked Hovind up on wiki...

    He's 57.

    What's your favorite Hovind video?

  • @vudumojo Hmmm I am going to say that I like his seminars 6 and 3. Is about a 2 way tie for that. So far his best debate is against that Rainbow guy. And yours?

  • @wildcats8530 Cool I'll check those out and will likely upload some of the clips!

    Thank you :)
