Ok, the lines in the video give it away. Digital cameras don't use cathode ray tubes to beam light to the monitor. They use interlaced scanning which does not produce lines. Remember when you used to take video or a photo of your old school TV set and the lines that would appear? Digital cameras don't produce lines because they're digital and function in 1's and 0's. Nice try! I think The Blair Witch Project is already a film. :)

@Pigeonine Great question! The lines you see from an HPS light are actually alternating frequencies of light. So you're seeing actual light waves that the human eye cannot see naturally.

The horizontal lines you see from an analog tube television are caused by a misaligned Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) and use interlaced technology.

Since digital cameras use progressive scanning technology and contain no analog tubes, they cannot possibly create horizontal lines like seen at the end of this video.

However, it is posible to kill a person very quietly, and if there was more than one creature then both people could have been hit at the same time.
