Chess boxing is a surprisingly great sport. Enki Bilal had a great idea that is actually an AMAZING spectator sport in real life.

I hope chess boxing becomes an olympic sport.

My opinion is : if you are 1900 elo (and intermediate boxer) or a 5 years boxer (and intermediate chess player), you will always win.

I noticed participants are lame at boxing+playing chess. Up to now...

Both levels of chess and boxing from the prticipants are very low...

Mike Richardson is wrong : Tyson would knock you down at 1st round, and Kasparov would need 30 seconds to chessmate you (the rest of the time, he would just run around you to avoid punches)

I guess Kasparov would win since the first round is always chess.

Nop. The opponent will not move a piece and wait for the boxing round. Kasparov would need 3 rounds at least.

Thanks to you, I've learnt this quote. Look : both have 12 min when playing chess and a chess round is 4 min. Kasparov plays the 1st move, his opponent doesn't answer, so after 4 min, it's boxing time. If Kaspa is still up, they start the 2nd chess round, and the opponent still does not move, and that's now 8 min chess. If Kaspa is not KO at the 2nd boxing round, 3rd chess round will reach 12 min (Kaspa would have to play instantly)

not moving a piece is not allowed. the chess referee will disqualify you if he has the feeling you dont want to play

if there is 12 minutes on the chesstimer, kasparov would never checkmate me. i lasted 22 moves against him back in 2004
