  • I love the way Ed says the line, "Oh. Why?"

  • brilliant

  • I love the sorrow in Ed's voice when he says, "I'm sorry, Chris." I felt the same thing the first time I saw this episode air. Voting is a solemn act.

  • the clean air of democracy......everyone is right.......one of the reasons I love this show.

  • Fairly safe to say that Cicely wouldn't have voted for Sarah Palin, lol.

  • I love the Walt Whitman quote: " The genius of the United States is . . . always most in the common people." Simple beautiful. I'd love to know the name of the book that Ed is reading from - cool stuff! Thanks for posting

  • @pattyfromtoledo

hail the lowest common denominator. yeah that always works.

  • Most TV writers don't believe in the intelligence of their audience and explain everything in the dialogue or external narration. This show was so genuinely intelligent. One of the last, best shows in TV history.

  • the town and scenery was just as much a part of the show as the characters....great people and great scenery.

  • Thus spoken in typical Chris fashion!
