When I see the rain on the track I wonder: ¿what would Pedro Rodríguez do driving a current F1 in these conditions? ¿what kind of things could he achieve? Great video by the way!
1:34 is a real treat. That is the 412T2, the last V12 ever raced in F1 in 1995. Nothing sounds like a 3 litre V12 at ~17,000 rpm(Sounds like more though). Even though it wasn't a championship winning car (Far from it actually), someone has good taste to have that car. There's a video here that shows it in action around Suzuka driven by Jean Alesi during qualifying.
just wondering, what sort of pass/accreditation did you have to get so close? could the average enthuisast by passes that would allow them to stand next to the wall filming them like you did or were you invited? :)
the f1 clienti program is amazing, -if you have the money- I saw one Ferrari clienti in Utah in 2009, but they didn't bring the F1 only the Fxx, it was so cool to chat with the mechanics from Maranello in Italian, I even meet Giancarllo fisichella that day, So far I know the F1's are down a little bit in RPm's from the original configurations for realibility issues, they are at 16,000 rpm, but still they drive the original chassis, the ones driven by Schumi can cost up to 2 million.
Not saying for a second that I could do any better than these drivers, but it's interesting to see how much of a difference you can see between these drivers and the pro's.
@youremostwelcome Haha, true. There's a reason you see a huge different between Ferrari's F1 clienti and real F1 drivers. The latter are GODS behind wheels. Enough said! These guys are just enthusiasts, some with nice driving skills, but nowhere as good as real F1 pilots (but then again, few people even come close)!
@alexsmolik Very true. Thanks also for providing one of the few quality car spotting video channels. Your articulation in the descriptions is always interesting and well written and your footage is great quality. Keep up the good work!
@alexsmolik many people have more skills than they have money to try out. ive seen normal guys behind the wheel of ariel atoms that i would put in a f1 race, no problem.
@youremostwelcome me neither, haha. Have been so fortunate to actually meet one of the owners, owner of F2005 chassis 246 or 248 I believe. It's either a season with the F1 Clienti, or maintain a private jet, the costs really are astronomical. Think the guy I spoke to could do between 2-5 seconds of Schumis laptime in the same car, now that doesen't blow me away because in race conditions he would get lapped easy. But shows that they are over average enthusiasts, just with the fat wallet.
man being this close must be awesome ive been 2 times to the F1 GP in london and i cant stand the sound for more than 1 hour it just tears my head apart lol
@MinaBassilious Tell me about it! Epic indeed! Although to be honest I prefer the sound of FXX and 599XX!! The F1 is just sheer brutality, whereas the XXs are more... singing.
@alexsmolik To me the F1 cars and the XX's are different and have their own unique sound. I don't think I prefer on one over the other. Thanks for the reply as usual : )
@ThePhoKing1 I agree! They're true petrolheads, after all, and passion has no limits! On another note, I'm pretty sure they've taken lots of courses with Ferrari and pilots themselves to "learn" how to handle such a machine! It's not like they arrived in their F50 and they handed them the keys and said "now go have fun on the wet track"! These guys know a bit what they're doing :)
@SKITTL3Z37 Thanks a lot man! I'm glad you enjoy the latest track videos! I still have quite a few to upload here and there, but all in due time! I never like giving it all away at the same time! I don't know why, though! :P
@ThePhoKing1 Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this video! I'm personnaly not the greatest fan of F1 + lack of time to watch it... But I do dig the sound they make and their looks... :D
@poketraderjack Good question! I have absolutely no idea! Does anyone care to answer?? But if I had to guess, considering how expensive current F1 cars are, and how hard they are to maintain... More than a million euros for each car... I THINK...
@alexsmolik : There was a TV story about a british guy buying one, who also bought an MC12. Also found a story from ' Car and Driver ' called : Wanna buy Schuey's F1 car'. which is still online under that title.
Quote: You'll need a minimum of A900,000 (currently $1,063,000)—the sort of money that would get you one-and-a-half Ferrari Enzos, assuming there were any for sale, which there aren't. "The exact sum depends on who drove the car and its history,"
@TheGetawayer Yeah, I was more or less right! At least 1 million... especially considering all the models there were driven by very good pilots in their time (Schumacher, Massa...). And I guess they all have a pretty good history too :P
@TheCarhunter I never went to England to film cars! France and Monaco are pretty much the same place! I'm just like you, a car hunter with a great passion for cars, nothing more lol. About the lottery: would I really tell random people lol? :P
